But good match indeed. I'm from PA too and I remember Dragon from seeing him in the AA state finals (televised). Didn't he also make all-american in college? Or at least come close to it?

Re: Real Wrestling

Wrestling at the Olympics start relatively late, with the first event not held until Sunday, August 5. Judo starts off right away on Saturday, July 28, though.

Re: Real Wrestling

I was a high school wrestler in the late 90's. The summer after my senior year, myself and a teammate went to watch the Bison Open held in Fargo, ND. Its not a big tournament but usually gets some good college teams like the University of Minnesota. Well we werent there very long when my friend Tom pointed out some big fkn dude who wrestled for Bismarck. Neither of us knew who he was. He ended up winning the Heavyweight division by beating out the Minnesota Gophers starting heavyweight. This was pretty impressive since Minnesota is a Division 1 college, while Bismarck was like a junior college.

Well anyway the guy was Brock Lesnar. Something about him stuck out compared to the rest of all the wrestlers that day, Brock was born to be a star. That day was a big step in his wrestling career as the next year he was offered a spot on the U of M wrestling team.

Kinda cool that I was there to witness the beginning of his rise to fame.
