They're bout to find out that the Preds are the better team this year.

Preds in 6, they've won every series at home this year. Time to put a capper on it.

What worries me this series is the same thing as the other 3: Pittsburgh's depth. If we can avoid any more injuries, then I like our chances.

Nashville is playing very well now, however. Series will be tough.

Getting Shultz back was huge. Hopefully Hornqvist will be ready for game 1.

I don't think there's been a clearer face/heel championship in all of sports since Duke vs Butler.

Agreed. Nobody pulling for the Pens outside of Pittsburg

I'm in an arcade bar and only now discovered what Kabong's avatar is.

My Pens are like Roman Reigns--they keep getting the championship push despite the boos.

The number of people too stupid to operate a self checkout ****ing infuriates me

Probably my favorite proof we evolved from monkeys is watching people try to understand they have to set an item down after scanning it

I just timed it. 4 lanes. All filled. One person in front of me in line.

8 ****ing minutes. I got through in under 1 once I hit the machine. What the ****?

And that is why a good grocery delivery service is the nuts.

I always assumed your avatar was Jake from the WrestleFest arcade game or a character from the pro wrestling game on Nintendo that had Starman, Amazon, etc..

Well he is a wrestler so you're not far off. It's Haggar from Final Fight and Saturday Night Slammasters. Best piledriver in the business.

Wrestlefest was so good though. When I was a kid my local 7-11 had a cabinet and my daily routine after school was getting off the train, getting a slurpee and playing a credit. One day I walked in and they had replaced it with NBA Jam which was everywhere at the time. I never found another Wrestlefest machine and I was gutted. It wasn't until I discovered MAME years later that I was able to play it again.

Going to the Indy 500 tomorrow for the first time. Locals have told me for years that it's a must-attend even for someone like me who doesn't even casually follow racing (probably haven't ever watched more than five consecutive minutes of a race in my life). Some of my friends go every year, so I guess if I like it enough it could become tradition for me too. If nothing else it will be a fun excuse to spend a day with a good group and drink heavily.

I thought seriously about buying an Austin 3:16 shirt for the occasion, but couldn't bring myself to drop $30 on something that I might only wear once ever. If it's something that I can see myself attending repeatedly, maybe I'll buy that shirt next year.

You had me right up to the point where you suggested that an Austin shirt is worth wearing just one time.

Am I the only one here that will wear a wrestling shirt doing, for example, regular weekend stuff?

This and marathon/racing t shirts are in my regular rotation:

Yeah I really can't see wearing a wrestling t-shirt except for occasions where the shirt fits the occasion well. I mean, I guess I could wear Austin 3:16 to wrestling events too, but otherwise it wouldn't get much wear.

I have a Punk and KO shirt. I typically will only wear them at the gym.

I may have mentioned that in '01 I wore my Kurt Angle "It's True" t-shirt during the Boston Marathon. The crowd popped for it many times throughout the race.

I have never purchased a wrestling shirt before, mostly because of when I was a big fan, it wasn't as easy to order. You pretty much had to go to a RAW or house show to be able to buy them. If the WWE Shop was a real thing back in the late 90's I probably would have owned a few.

Today, married with two kids, dropping $30 or whatever it is for a short isn't the smartest thing I could do, so I haven't. However there are a few shirts I would have no issues sporting in public. First on the list is a Southpaw Regional Wrestling shirt.

I did purchase an Owen Hart shirt at my first live event and then a Mankind shirt at the next. Those are the only wrestling shirts I've owned. I wore them proudly at the time, but I was in high school. (Also I bought a Bret Hart foam finger and promptly spilled mustard on it.)

I actually think dvo's line of wearing the Angle shirt in the marathon is pretty great.

I come away from the 500 still wondering what the big deal is. Though I will say, I did enjoy the t-shirt I saw that said, "I don't do cardio because these colors don't run."

In any case, fun day just due to the group being a fun one. Would probably go again with these guys.
