Pretty incredible that the bay area could conceivably walk away with 3 of the 4 major titles this year

They also hosted the Super Bowl, meaning all four championships were contended for in the Bay Area since October 2014. And Wrestlemania 31!

I couldn't get any. Scalpers scooped them all up. If you hear of any on the open market for non-ridiculous prices (although I'm definitely willing to pay a tidy chunk of change), let me know. Anything in or around the GTA.

After my latest Android crapped out, I finally grew frustrated enough to defect to Apple and buy an iPhone. I always just carried my Androids around without any protection on them and never had any issue on that front, but I went ahead and bought an Otterbox for this iPhone since it was pretty steep and I wanted the protection. Anyone have insight on whether it's overkill to also get a glass protector to put on it? I've Googled around and see that people do it, but I also sort of assume that people posting on cell phone message boards are probably prone to over-accessorize.

I've had iPhones since 2009, and always found the otter box to be enough protection on its own. I mean it won't hurt to get the glass protection, but I don't think it's necessary at all

Just want to chime in to say that Otterboxes are ****ing awesome.

As for the question: Are you planning on dropping the front onto rocks? Seems like the only time more is needed.

Yeah obviously no plans to drop it, but I did destroy an iPod screen once when I dropped it on the sidewalk over a decade ago. Hopefully an Otterbox would be able to absorb that though. I think I'll just stick with the case, especially since the one time I had an extra protective layer on a phone screen I found that the difference in reaction to touch was noticeable enough to be annoying.

They mentioned today that Pittsburgh hasn't won a title "in town" since the Pirates in 1960 (all other World Series/Stanley Cups/Super Bowls happened outside the City).

They obviously missed Bruno Sammartino and Kurt Angle's titles in this analysis.

I've thrown my phone around a ton just because of how good the shock resistance is. Not to mention my kid dropping it a bunch. You can throw the phone on a sidewalk with authority and it'd be fine.

I've never liked glass protectors. They feel like **** and the screens on an iPhone or good quality Android are very scratch resistant and strong. They're like having sex with a condom, enjoy the screen the way it was supposed to. Replacing them is cheap anyway and if you get a good enough person at Apple you can usually get it done for free if you're under warranty.

Interestingly Ive cracked 3 androids but never an iPhone.

My case is a Spigen and it survived me leaving my phone on the top of the car, driving off, and coming back to find it 4 hours later in the middle of a road. So yeah, pretty good stuff. Cases for life

I think I had a period where I broke three phones in one year in the late 00's and early 10's, so I'm Otterbox4Life.

Additionally, writing 00's and 10's feels really weird.

My last two phones were Samsung phones and both were amazing. My current Galaxy S5 is still as good as the day I got it (April 2014), which was launch day.

Having said that, I've never cracked a phone I've put any protective box on, so for me it doesn't matter which one.

I got a settlement in 2014 from a car accident in 2012. That day, I went and bought my first tablet. Later that night, I went to go stand in line for the first sales of Call of Duty: AW and as I was leaving my house, I dropped it on the rocks in my ****ing driveway, completely destroying it. Of course I didn't put a plan on it so, yeah.

Now, I have a Nexus 9 and it was damn near impossible to find my case for it back then and now I need a replacement case
