Yeah, by rule you can't really reverse that into being Miami ball. It's a bad beat for sure, but once it's called a TD there's no more they can do but what they did.
right right. I'm not going rawr cheated lol. I'm responding to your post about weird situations where the refs got it
technically correct based on the nittiest interpretation of the rules imaginable but probably wouldn't be
correct if an ounce of common sense was used.
Like you mentioned it happening to Seattle on national tv a lot and not being able to hide them away (see also: simultaneous possession) and wishing it would happen on a random sunday. I could have just used Calvin catch as a more known example.
Have always found it a bit weird that they have no problems using multiple camera angles to get a good estimate on if a knee was down when the ball came out. Like a body blocking the ball from one angle and a body blocking the knee from another, but you can use the two together to have a pretty good idea of what the big picture is. Yet when 3 people from the same team jump on the ball - thus creating a pile with one person from the opposing team laying over the top of them - and then a second shot shows one of those players having the ball at the end, they can't do anything about it.
More talking about some silly results based on rules than some rawr 4 years ago my team lost an irrelevant game and I r mad. Ya know?
