Nah I like it here. There are undoubtedly better places, but I like it here for now.

Well I don't doubt that living in the rural areas of it would suck.

But that's a non-starter since I have no plans to do such a thing. Living in downtown Indy is like living in any other Midwest city.

Ill put it to you this way. I live very close to new haven which is like a warzone. I don't scare easily. I doubt I'd ever go to Detroit

St. Louis actually has the higher crime rate I think, and when I went there I expected to find an absolute dump...but honestly it's not bad.

Minneapolis is a nice city and would rank just below chicago imo

I stayed the night in Minneapolis once but aside from spending a night in a hotel as a stop on the way through I didn't see much so I can't judge it.

It did have a cleanliness that some cities (I'm looking at you, Memphis) lack. I did notice that.

The only reason I don't put Memphis below Cleveland is that I haven't been there in over a decade and I figure there's some chance that the memory is exaggerated in my mind. But it's a toilet.

Several of my (non-close) friends in law school thought it was hilarious when they were at the bar to load up the jukebox with Creed just to annoy everyone there. They kept this up for an entire year of frequent bar-going.

Do you think their actions were heroic or do you correctly surmise that this is horrendous and that they should have gotten their asses kicked?

It depends on the bar. Was it a college bar with obnoxious kids? Then I approve. Was it a legitimately decent bar? Then that's kind of a dick move.

I was at a divey hipster bar back in the fall, where every single song was Rancid or Pantera pretty much. Friend and I definitely trolled it and put in enough money to play N*Sync, BSB and 98 Degrees all in a row. When N*Sync dropped, a couple bros yelled WHAT THE **** DUDE ARE YOU SERIOUS! That made it worth it. It also got all the cute girls dancing there.

Someone decided to troll this Irish bar I was at last night by playing Waltzing Matilda 3 times in a row, which is pretty much the biggest bummer of a song you can throw on. The bar was actually kind of nice though, so that kind of bad. Almost any other Irish bar on St. Patty's Day in Boston, I'd approve of them doing that.

In conclusion about your friends, it depends. Nice bar, they get their asses kicked, a GusJGOAT bar, they're legends. Creed is a weak selection, they should've gone Nickelback or boy band.

all this anti creed makes me sad.
