Since those of us in the wrestling thread have been posting together for long enough that we tend to get derailed from nonstop wrestling talk, a containment thread for everything else seems appropriate. Seems a decent chance for some community overlap with our MMA and boxing friends too.

So...this thread is sort of like a reversal of what OOT was until a couple of weeks ago. The forum is wrestling, the containment thread is OOT. VICTORY!

Nah, I'm born and raised. Born in 83, my first picture of me in my Niners gear was when I was 1. red and gold room growing up, Had all the action figures (Craig/Joe/Young/rice).

My family is neat cause I've got 3 Uncle, my dad and 1 are Niner fans, the other two are Cowboy fans. Gramps is a Niner fan two. The 90's were fun as hell, as every time they played each other it was treated like a holiday. big family get together/feast.

Are there still two teams inexplicably both called the Roughriders in the CFL? Yes I realize that one was called Rough Riders and the other was Roughriders, but still.

Umm, if I have to pick a CFL team, I'll root for Winnipeg because Alex Brink is their QB.

Ah, okay. I've had almost no awareness of the CFL since the mid-90's. I did grow up watching it since I was on the Canadian border and my parents didn't spring for cable TV until I was in high school.

Sittin' here at work, running off about an hour and a half of sleep after a friends' little sister's birthday who just turned 19, I've decided that I want to kill myself. I'm hurtin' here. Good thing I'm going to take off a bit early for the World Junior game, but man I need a nap or something.

On a related note, I've drank hard more in the last 3 months than I can ever remember before.

One time I had six hours left in a drive home and already started to get really tired. I took one 8 oz. Red Bull and never thought about being tired again for the rest of the trip. You build up a tolerance and it loses efficacy in a hurry if you drink it regularly (hence sometimes even a 20 oz. Red Bull doesn't pick me up anymore), but if you're an energy drink virgin it should certainly do the trick.

Meh, I can do the Red Bull/vodka and Red Bull/jager thing, but it really feels like the stimulant works against the depressant so hard that I get nothing out of it. I've had a good handful of them at a party without getting remotely buzzed. Tastes alright though.

Here's a perhaps not fully believable, but nonetheles true cool story bro:

A few years ago when the Riders were playing the Lions in the West Semi-Final (CFL, obv), 3 buddies and I went down to Regina to watch the game. I had bought all of the tickets, and they all paid me cash when I picked them up. So, I have 6 hundred or so dollars in my wallet, and the Riders got destroyed. Naturally, in our pissed off state, we went to the bar.

This was an afternoon game, so we had a long time to drink. Well, once I got liquored up enough I decided that I would just buy shots for the rest of the night. I bought everyone multiple (and I mean multiple) rounds of Jager bombs, but I didn't want to drink the Red Bull so I was just shooting the Jager straight.

Needless to say we got tossed from the bar at 8pm because I'm an idiot and tried to fight some guy about 4 times my size. We pretty much got tossed for my protection. We hadn't planned on staying in Regina overnight, but since we lived 3 hours away, driving was now out of the question. We found a hotel and drank in the bar.

The next morning I woke up in the hallway in front of the hotel room we rented and my hotel card was in the reader backwards. I obviously couldn't get in (again due to my stupidity), so I gave up and slept in the hallway. I found my wallet in my pocket when I got up and was pissed that there was no money in it and assumed it got stolen until I was informed that I had spent it all on liquor and tipping. Worst hangover ever, but came out with some good stories.

tl;dr

Now reading that, it seems crazy and unbelievable. I swear on my life it happened, though. Us farm kids.

MBN to those who don't drink Red Bulls on a consistent basis. I had 9 Rockstar Orange drinks one night in college writing a 90-page original screenplay from scratch, and it totally desensitized me to stuff like that from there on out. It takes me about 15 Red Bull/Vodkas to really start feeling energetic IME

So I'm watching the 5 on Fox News because I enjoy pain apparently, and the hot girl just said she's a huge wrestling fan.
