Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

People recently added to the WWE.com Alumni page are RVD and Shane McMahon. The problem of course is both will get absolutely huge pops on the night, but tbh I think every known wrestler will so who ****ing knows at this point. My money is still on hugely overbooked mess but the timing of Shane being added this week is interesting.

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

Ahhhhhh, getting closer to the PPV, well since this is a May PPV, I don't have much high hopes for it. Basically, my expectations is just that if Punk/Bryan gets more than 20 min. and that they need to do what they need to do, then everything else would not matter. I mean if everything else is good, then that's great, but all I want is Punk/Bryan to deliver.

Only 5 matches on the card, there will be so many video packages and random squashes...

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

My confidence picks for this one (last PPV I got 16 of 21 possible points on a six-match card):

My shoe-in of the card:
Spoiler:

1. CM Punk over Daniel Bryan. I mean this clearly feels like a place-filler, like they just went "oh, we need a championship match this month. Let's give it to Bryan, we've been pushing him so he slips into a title match pretty easily for the three or four week timeframe that we have to make something up." And then they never bothered to build it since. I'll give them serious props if they can get me to buy into a Bryan near-fall at any point. Still, from a technical standpoint this should be the match of the night and hopefully will be one of the best of 2012.

Pretty sure:
2. Kane over Zack Ryder. They're not having Ryder go over Kane cleanly without help from someone big like Cena, and someone big like Cena isn't interfering on his behalf on a YouTube pre-show.

3. Big Johnny over Cena. Obviously only due to interference by whoever. I just don't see them killing Johnny off as commissioner right now.

Sorta sure:
4. Beth Phoenix over Layla. I certainly hope that they're building for Beth v. Kharma at SummerSlam, and they can't be having Beth go under Layla in the meantime if that's the plan. Time to strap Beth again.

Getting shaky:
5. Ghana-Compton Connection over ZigSwag. This just makes more sense to me because G-C has more teams on the face/heel continuum that they can feud with over the belt.

No ****ing clue, really:
6. Sheamus retains in the Fatal Four-Way. But I mean none of these guys winning would completely shock me.

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

I feel like we're gonna see one or two of these three matches too:

Santino vs. Cody
Ryback vs. Jobber (or Heath Slater)
Brodus vs. Miz

What does everyone think the chances are that we will see Brock, Heyman, and HHH? Personally I think Heyman and HHH will be on the PPV but not Brock.

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

Cant see Brock been there, they only have him for a limited amount of appearances so if he was going to be at a ppv it would most likely be advertised/promoted

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

Punk in MOTN
Ryder via DQ
Ace via Biggy Slow interfering
Layla over via rollup of doom
Jimmy Boom retains
Sheamus retains

I agree that we will see Cody vs Santino which will have Cody go over or we riot, Funkasaurus and Ryback will prob be putting on squashes and go over whoever they face.

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

I am rewatching Daniel Bryan promos to get me pumped for tonight. The promo where he makes AJ say "Daniel Bryan is a great lover" is outstanding. You can tell he can barely hold in his laughter when she says it.

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

i really think bryan goes over punk at this point and gives way to summer of bryan

AJ interferes to give bryan the title, AJ goes from submissive lovestruck to domineering
Spoiler:

plenty of reasons why this would work:
1. bryan is off the charts over and needs to be on raw
2. punk is getting stale as ****
3. lord tensai's a disaster and thank **** doesn't look like he's gonna feud for the belt, which means bryan v punk can't really be a 1 time match in a 3 week feud since there's no other heels right now who can feud with punk
3a. so what better way to advance the story with AJ and bryan and capitalize on bryan then by giving him the belt?

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

Bryan could definitely win tonight. There's a much higher chance Bryan wins tonight than he ever had at retaining vs. Sheamus at Wrestlemania, but that's not what YOU PEOPLE in the 2+2 UNIVERSE thought *waits for boos*

Re: Over the Limit PPV Thread

Yes, in hindsight I must admit that I give Bryan a 0% chance of winning at this past WrestleMania and a non-zero chance tonight.
