I'm just happy KO's horrendous world title reign has been put out of its misery.

Was it not brought up just by wearing a suit sometimes?

Last night was basically a WCW PPV. There was a crusierweight match which was MOTN, a Big Show match, a boring tag-team match, Jericho being underutilized, and a Goldberg squash.

Just to add to the lolz. KO kept more kayfabe credibility vs Goldberg than Brock did. Ridiculous.
Thats what was kind of funny about this entire PPV. It seems like there were pretty easy changes to booking to make just slightly more sense. Why not just ring the bell before KO does all his time wasting? Why does Goldberg have to completely bury KO by beating him in 22 seconds? It could have been a way for KO to at least claim he lasted longer than Lesnar or something if he stalled a while. And it avoids that weird start timing issue.

Same with Sasha interference. Why not call for a DQ instead of blatantly ignoring an obvious DQ situation? Bailey keeps title, Sasha gets involved in 3 way feud, Charlottes streak goes till WM. Seems so simple.

And why not just have Taker interfere in Reigns match?! Why a clean victory, wtf? How does that set up either guy for WM?

In a super duper alternate and fair universe, we could have had some combo of Bryan/Seth/Cena/Styles. Sigh

Maybe I'm reaching here, but I think the answer here is quite simple. The way they did it was the best way to have a limited Goldberg win the title and have Kevin Owens save as much face as possible. If they do what you suggested and start the match before the stalling, then when Jericho's music hits, KO gets distracted and loses his title while the match is in progress. That makes him look incredibly dumb, as we have all stated here at one time or another when it happens in other matches. But when you have the music hit right before the match starts KO can claim that he was cheated unfairly because he wasn't ready when the bell rang. He can then hang his hat somewhat legitimately in this for as long as he needs to

Thats an incredibly easy fix though, where Jericho could actually get involved as a distraction in some way, rather than just standing on the ramp like a turd. Instead were left with the bell MAGICALLY ringing at the exact correct moment timed with Jerichos "distraction", which still isnt a distraction at all anyways, so that seems like a moot argument.

The point really is this is all weak ass **** as the last ppv on the road to WM.

WWE put up the full match on its YT channel and surprisingly (and no, I'm not being ironic), the match has more dislikes than likes. 5k+ likes vs 6k+ dislikes. People mad.

Is that 5:09 counting his time in the Rumble?

And why can't Reigns beat guys with his spear in under a minute. He must really suck.

Jinder Mahal wrestled longer in one night than the WWE Universal Champion has in 12 years

It must be since the only other 2 matches combine for 1:48.

Reigns over Strowman is fine IMO. Braun looked super dominate in the loss and considering this is the first guy he's faced that he would actually consider a challenge, ended up losing because he had to try to pull out something he hadn't had to do in an actual match before. Plus you cant have a guy eat a 100% clean loss before you do a match vs Taker at Mania.

Strowman is too much of a freak to get lost in the shuffle. This isn't the Great Khali or Vladamir Kozlov. This is a rapidly improving giant who is capable of insane feats of athleticism we've never seen in a WWE ring for a guy of his size. He'll be fine, and now that he's lost, his matches arent foregone conclusions anymore.

Rusev has been here before and climbed out. I'm sure he will do so again.

But the physical difference between Rusev and Braun is staggering. Braun is a good 6 inches taller, more agile, not foreign and even more freakishly muscular.

This is the world's easiest thing to agree on. Just head and shoulders above every woman the WWE has ever had as an athlete and she can cut a non-awful promo.

I don't think Braun is buried or going to be lost in the shuffle or anything. He's too fresh for that. afaik he's faced a bunch of jobbers and only feuded with Sami and Roman. It's just what they do with big guys, this was accelerated because of Mania being next month. Build up to feed to top face. If I had to compare with someone it wouldn't be Rusev/Wyatt, it'd be Umaga. Umaga was still a great uppercard guy until he was released for the issues that eventually killed him.

It was a great decision to have Roman win because that won him over with the fans, I'm sure. Expect Hogan type cheers tonight because he slayed a big guy.
