Punk/Hardy is pretty clearly the highlight of the night.

Of course it is but telling that to Vince is another story.

I really don't get how Orton taps out in front of the ref and somehow retains the title. Ridiculously dumb finish to an otherwise really good match.

Won't be seeing Beth Phoenix for a while. Reports are saying she's preggo and taking at least a 1 year break.

I'm not real excited by the NoC results I've read, but I am catching up on the shows from this week and was going to watch Smackdown this week when I saw that Regal was in a match with Christian on Superstars. It was the opening match and they worked a fantastic match, possibly the best match this year that didn't have any promo build up. The reverse t-bone exploder suplex Regal hits near the end is just awesome and Christian takes some good falls out of the ring. Regal was getting great heat, the crowd definitely helped wherever they were. Superstars has had some real great matches on it, and isn't as drenched with promos or jobbers as Heat and Velocity were. Definitely recommend watching it most weeks, and wish I got WGN America so I could watch it on TV.

Bourne/Noble also pretty good, Noble actually hits the top rope superplex instead of it getting countered, it's a sick impact move.

The opening to Kane/Morrison is also great and textbook way to make big and strong versus fast and agile entertaining. A lot better than a lot of the Knox/Mysterio and Knox/Bourne crap that made RAW in the last year. It's not a great match, but probably worth watching for the standing backflip reversal to the chokeslam catch from the top rope followed up with a springboard kick. I think part of the problem with Morrison's work here is he doesn't sell being in the ring with Kane for ten minutes much.

I really dislike having Kane being afraid of Khali, I hope this feud is just going to end in Kane destroying him and moving up to the main event scene, but Kane showing fear isn't a good sign at all. Or a good booking move IMO.

Oh and the codebreaker spot in the Hardy/Jericho match on Smackdown was beyond awesome.

Sucks for a lot of fans but makes good sense for WWE. Smackdown's ratings have been dropping/horrible recently. The WWE gave Jeff the belt since he's 1 of, if not the #1 guy in the WWE for fan support. Vince is trying his best to get the ratings up. Plus I think it sets up better for Punk and possibly Morrison to be chasing after the belt.

But then again this is the WWE and Jeff will prob lose the belt at the next Smackdown taping.

Morrison/Punk/Hardy Triple-Threat matches? Sounds delightful. Or I could just see Punk cheating and winning back the title in a loser-leaves-WWE sort-of match if this is all a hoax and Jeff really hasn't re-signed with them.

Havnet had chance to watch NOC yet, but ive read the results. Lol at that booking. Why is Jeff winning now, even if he has resigned? Though fwiw if this opens up a Jeff/Punk/Morrison triple thread im gonna be loving it. The trouble is it really makes Punk look uber weak - he won the belt after Jeff had won the ladder match, he got himself DQed and then he lost. Sure, he has looked great inbetween, but thats all that will be remembered. Unless they are going to go back to the Edge routine of monthly wins and losses for Punk this was a really weird time to give Jeff the belt. I mean if he has resigned they can have him be "cheated" in some way again then further build to him winning the belt off Punk at Summerslam - a much more prestigious PPV.

Big Slow. What the ****? They have a whole series of great guys Jericho can be paired with, Big Slow makes zero sense - even if they dont want to use Christian as the partner, Miz, Kane, Ziggler and Swagger would all be picked before Big Slow if i were doing the creative work. On the upside at least he wont be squashing the great up and comers like Bourne any more.

They need to get the title off Orton pretty quick. Raw is dying right now, and as much as i like him he has been booked into a corner and needs to regain his mean streak. Whatever they do, if they dont find a new fresh face to be number one contender Summerslam is going to be another huge fail from the Raw side of things. Hell, id take Mark Henry in the match if they can find a good person to make the numbers up for another triple threat (id pick MVP personally, but its looking he and Swagger are going to be feuding for a while as the upper upper midcard guys before being called to take on the WWE champ).

One thing is clear, Cole was getting heat for his commentry mistakes, that blunder in the PPV will seal his fate. If he is lucky he will be sent to Smackdown where they can do retakes, if no he will be future endeavored.

I love that Big Show got taken suit shopping by Jericho.

Just turned it on. What are they Beat the Clock Matches for, facing Orton at SS? If so, is there anyone else involved besides Cena and H3?

Also, Santino's "freestyle" was awesome. A+ segment.
