LOL, clearly one of the biggest mainstream successes in wrestling history; a bargain at $320 in the auction!

Re: Official WrestleMania Thread

I'd do the same as him. ROH is failing. TNA is an opportunity for exposure and more money. He's also a model so he has something to fall back on but I hope he has a plan beyond that.

Re: Official WrestleMania Thread

Maybe he went back on the verbal handshake deal, maybe he didnt. It is impossible to say tbh. Going to TNA, esp if you cant get a contract at WWE, is probably the right choice. Or not, who is to say without knowing their contract details, but he seems to think he made the right choice and he wasnt under contract with ROH and kept them in the loop so what else is he meant to have done is my opinion.

Re: Official WrestleMania Thread

WWE is looking to put the indies out of business. Keep signing the top indie talent.

They recently signed Brodie Lee and just signed PAC

Re: Official WrestleMania Thread

That is the way the indies have always worked and even ROH management has fully accepted the fact.

Its not so much that the WWE is trying to "put them out of business", its that the indies is the farm team for the big league club.

Yea but wwe has never raided the indies like they have in the last year or two

Re: Official WrestleMania Thread

Oh, yeah. HHH is part of the reason for that. Truly. They have been stepping up the head hunting of talent since he started getting more control over hiring talent.

Edit, oh sweet, never heard of PAC before but he lived really local to me. Hope he makes it to the big stage. He looks really really awesome from what I have seen on youtube and should make a huge impact:

Standing moonsault senton, corkscrew shooting star press, 630 and shooting star senton bomb for the ****ing wins!

Re: Official WrestleMania Thread

PAC wasn't much of an indy talent. He worked some PWG shows and they only run once a month. He was mostly with DragonGate Japan and sometimes with DragonGateUSA. He came in as a special attraction to last months NJPW's "Best of the Super Juniors" tournament.

PAC vs Prince Devitt - Day 9 of the BoSJ '12. I haven't watched the match yet but Devitt is awesome and I'm sure the match delivers.

There is a lot of things to consider here.

1) I understand Kenny King's side here. He has to go to where he will earn the most money. He had a handshake agreement with ROH, but when ROH offered him an actual contract, he did not sign it. To me, that nullifies the handshake. I just hope for King's sake, TNA will use him to his potential.

2) ROH has no excuse. I have no idea why they would put themselves in this situation. Why would they put the tag titles on a guy who's contract is up, and may leave? DGUSA is in a similar situation right now. I'll bet my last dollar that either they resign Johnny Gargano(doubtful if WWE is calling, like the rumor says), or he drops the belt to Tozawa at the next shows in a few weeks. My opinion, ROH put the belts on ANX for two reasons. To try and convince him to stay around, and, in the case that He does leave, the controversy. Someone once said "Controversy Creates Cash".

3) Rhett Titus is pissed. Either at King, or at ROH. If King left Titus in the dark, it is ****ed up. King made Titus what he is today. But if King told Rhett was was up, and ROH screwed him over, I could see the only really good member of the ROH Wrestling School leaving the promotion.

Being a ROH fan and a TNA hater, I'm supposed to take ROHs side on this. But it is really hard to do so in this situation. Aside from Kevin Steen, there is no one that is that interesting in ROH right now. Sure, the work rate of Roddy Strong, Eddie Edwards, and those guys. But in terms of interest, it's only Steen.

First time in a long time, but TNA might actually be the place to be over ROH.
