He came up with similar points during the whole Beth Phoenix "but Hunter, we're just girrrrrrrrrrrrrls" thing and we were all gung ho about it. Its fine if you disagree with it, but don't pretend that he hasn't had a similar vein a lot of the time or that its increasing any more than it previously was.

I don't disagree with people being vegan or not, it is food, people have different tastes, good luck to all in that regard. But why does every wrestling recap column have to also recap how the author used to be a fat piece of **** with no friends, etc.? And us thinking the column was blueboys has exactly zero to do with Cena being better-than-normal. I know you are friends with Brandon or whatever but you are really reaching

I like it when authors talk about themselves a bit instead of just straight recapping the show. Especially one that is basically sold by that guy's personal voice and opinions on the product. It helps to understand where he's coming from on stuff and makes it much more interesting to read imo. I don't really understand why anyone liked the column when he was just snarking on the product, which is something that is done endlessly on every wrestling forum including this one.

Like I guess I just find it weird that you guys clearly like Brandon and think he's a good writer, so once he comes out of his shell a bit and talks about himself (which he doesn't have to do and requires a certain amount of bravery) everyone goes "OMG STFU FATTY NOBODY CARES."

When Macho Man died, Bill Simmons had a Goat-ish article on wrestling and he shared a bunch of meaningful personal experiences and how it applied to the product. Obv comparing Brandon to Simmons is LOL, but the point remains that we aren't hating on Brandon giving insight into his personal life but the shtick is legit getting old. Constantly mentioning veganism and why he's a better person because of it, Destiny (we get it!), and this week's abortion....he lost a reader in me, I'm done with it. It's wrestling, and PG wrestling....women have actual matches where all they do is wrestle (horribly, but they wrestle), contrast that to the way women were portrayed during the attitude era, and we all turned out semi-fine, give it a rest Brandon.

one thing thats really clear is that noone is going from:

"here are the facts" -> "from these facts i think chris brown is innocent/learnt from his mistakes/she had it coming/etc."

but everyone is going:

"i want to defend chris brown for his role in entertainment" -> "here's how i can twist the facts to come to the prior conclusion"

it reminds me of the scientific process of logic vs religious process of logic debate that always used to come up in rgt

decided id do this a month ago or so when i made a post about him being such a contrarian

only read it recently because of uproar itt, but who knows maybe he is presenting opinions the way he is coz he has managed to get us and therefore a few others to talk about it? Or of course he is just a bit of a douchebag turning into a real life D bryan vegan preacher (but not awesome)
