Am I the only one who has trouble watching a Chris Benoit match? I've tried and I know they're great, but I just can't do it.

One of my favourite matches of all time is the ladder match he had with Y2J at Royal Rumble 2001. I tried watching it the other day and couldn't finish it.

****.

No you're not. I find it hard as well and don't think I've watched one of his matches in full from start to finish since that **** went down.

I have trouble but I can get through them. I love his matches with absurd headbutt shots vs. Regal in 05/06.

I agree it's tough, especially when he does his diving head it from the top rope. Or the one off the ladder at one of the WM Money in the Bank matches.

The video package before his title match with Rock at Fully Loaded 2000 is almost impossible to watch.

It basically doesn't seem to bother me at all even though it feels like it should.

I can't remember the last time I tried to watch one of his matches, I just have no desire to. Before it happened Benoit is an easy number 1 for my fav style.

I don't have any problem watching his matches.

Watching the end of WM XX with him and Eddie is pretty tough.

For me, it's not Benoit specifically but all the unprotected chair shots and the like that seemed awesome at the time aren't so awesome now.

Didn't think of it this way. I had more noticed his flying head-butt where his head snaps back on impact. I wonder what doing a few thousand of those over the course of a career did to him.

That was the toughest pat of watching and writing up all of the Wrestlemanias in the late 90's and early 00's. There is one in particular that Rock hit Ken Shamrock with that is just sickening. I'm on my phone or I would link it here.

Rock vs. Mankind in the AE, I believe at the Royal Rumble, had a moment like this where Rock hit him with something like 5(?) unprotected headshots in a row. There was documentary footage where Foley was explaining to him afterward that he was trying to signal to him to stop, but Rock missed the signal. Foley wasn't sore about it and the conversation with Rock was friendly, but Foley's wife was in the crowd, got upset and gathered the kids and left in mid-match because she couldn't watch and thought the kids shouldn't either.

I'm always very happy that Foley seems to have his faculties as well as he does. There's still a decent chance stuff arises later, but for now it's good to see how he's doing compared to how his style seems like it should have already left him.

Is that the shot where Rock comes up a little short on the swing and hits him with the top edge of the chair instead of the seat?

I'm surprised Foley is still normal. I don't mean that in a rude way or anything, but he did some crazy **** in his career.

Yeah, I have refused to back and watch that show because of that. If I remember correctly, it was RR 99. I forget which documentary it was, but they had a camera on Foley's family for that whole match. Or at least until they went backstage

I'm not sure about that, but it was on a RAW, and I remember watching that love and feeling sick then. It was worse when they showed the replay on WM XB about 8 times

It was Royal Rumble 99 but it wasn't five, it was something like 11 or 13. Documentary was Beyond the Mat.
