Just his random shifts in and out of caps lock were enough to keep me entertained. If you go too far down from the top rated ones, the answers often are kind of pointless though so don't read the whole thing.

to this day i still think the biggest WTF moment of the last year is Sheamus winning MITB. Not only that, but to cash it in and win the title, for what, a week?

Like WTF was the point of that at all?

Sooooo bad.

Meltzer said they didn't want the briefcase to be a focal point of the shows to a great extent this year and that's why Sheamus was picked in the first place. Who knows what would have happened with the briefcase if Rollins didn't get hurt.

Just sad. The briefcase provides instant drama/suspense, which have been in short supply in the product since, well, Seth cashed-in his briefcase at Mania a year ago.

Directly after that I stopped watching MITB and haven't watched WWE since.

Wow $115MM to Hogan. Is there any way that Gawker can even afford something like that? I have no idea how big they are or really what they are (I assume they're on online National Enquirer type of thing). Good for Hogan.

edit: LOL @ Bubba TLS

Sidenote: I'd think that Hulk would go by Hulk irl, no idea why. Though I distinctly remember Vince calling him that when he asked him to be in the HoF too.

Linda letter to Hogan after Hogan testified against her:

Quote:
Terry,

YOU have single handedly ruined our 25-year marriage and our family ... my trust, my love, my future, our future family with grandchildren, holidays, weddings, our kids' lives, homes, their ability to trust, our poor animals, friends, neighbors, your career, finances, trademarks, retirement, your legacy, your reputation, your health ... even your soul ... You lost it ALL.

You took me for granted and never appreciated me or our beautiful family ... blaming me for your horrendous mistakes.

And yet you continue in life this very way, still .. Hiding behind those sunglasses, false smile , oh ... and the bandana!

Until you can really apologize, to me ... And to our children ... I will never ever forgive you.

Linda

sry, I find this fascinating.

$114 million? Stupid Sunny only got 6 figures for her sex tape. Although you might be able to successfully argue Hogan looks better at this point.

Was there ever a time when Sean Waltman was not truly god awful? His promos and mannerisms compare to a drunken hillbilly frat guy

I have it on good authority that he was better than both Austin and Hogan.

Kind of surprising go away heat is now named after him given that 3/4 of the audience is, was, or will be drunken frat guys or hillbillies.

I confess to marking out when the 1-2-3 Kid upset Razor Ramon.

Yes, there was a time when Waltman was pretty good. 1990 Global to 1995 (or so) WWE. Might be shortchanging him slightly on the back end, but by the time he was DX/XPac, I didn't care much for him.

His timeline of usefulness pretty much ran out specifically at the end of that Bret Hart match in 1994. Did he suffer a major injury at some point in the mid-90s? He was never nearly as good of a worker once he went to WCW, and once he turned heel in the WWF the first time and especially once he went nWo, he was always incredibly annoying from a character standpoint and would pretty much have had to work like Daniel Bryan to make it worth it to have to watch him.

That's around the same time he started hanging out with the kilq and doing tons of drugs. Would have been even worse at WCW.

The Bret Hart match was the best of his career (and probably crafted entirely by Bret, maybe with an assist from Pat Patterson), but I just think Waltman is the kind of wrestler that gets more boring and more annoying the more you see him. By Meltzer star ratings Waltman had some good stretches in WCW and even TNA.

Tell me they didn't do a great job of hyping the free-TV matches that mattered back then:

The whole 'from jobber to star' tale of the 1-2-3 Kid is a success of long term storytelling. Nowadays, we get "Wrestler X just pinned the Intercontinental champion!!!!!!!!" in a non title like it is some impressive feat despite dozens of people having done that in the past few years, with none of them going anywhere afterwards.
