He should have gone over Michaels if they were going to gift him the World Title. Or just put Batista over, but now we have to suffer through another Batista being pissed at getting ripped off for the title and chasing for x months like his entire run on Smackdown the last 2 years, ugh.
You had to know jericho was winning when he was #5, and I totally agree with the booking. They need to keep Jericho strong, there is a lack of convincing heels on the entire roster. And I mean, orton bashing punk is supposed to be wrong, don't know what you really mean by that. After rewatching the event today, I wonder if they purposely booked hardy to look like an idiot, or there was no real script and he's just that stupid. Going for the pin when he already had the title, and the last second cover instead of the breakup...meh, I don't want hardy to have a championship reign unless that hardy is Matt Hardy v2.0.

Matt Sydal of ROH fame performing the best SSP I have ever seen in the WWE and it was pretty wow to see aswell as I thought the move was banned.

OK so it looks like he used to do it all the time in ECW.

I think its banned only if you Brock it.

Also the Jericho/HBK feud has been the best feud of the year and its not close. Jericho is pretty much the only reason to watch RAW.

Totally agree with this. I record Raw and often just fast forward to Jericho's stuff. Ditto for Smackdown and Edge to a certain extent (okay, on Smackdown I'll also stop for HHH and, well, Maria).

And now they shot that one down with one slick booking move. Michaels destroys Jericho, then later that night Jericho wins the world title.

Now we've got Batista and CM Punk at least in the immediate future challenging for the title. Add Randy Orton into the mix when he's back, and the same for John Cena. I guess they can just throw out JBL, Kane, and Rey. So now what the hell is Michaels supposed to do?

Also, is anybody actually watching Smackdown or did they just banish JR to ratings hell?

Things I currently like:
1) Jericho/HBK feud. Smashing Michaels' head through tv, punching out his wife, telling him to go home to his kids, all great. Jericho is a good heel, and plays the "disgruntled guy telling the hard truths" angle well. Makes me think back to the John Tenta "I'm not a shark...I'm a maaaaaaan" days.

2) Ted Dibiase/Cody Rhodes - let's get their old men involved at some point, please.

3) Santino Marella - this guy is money every single time. Love him.

4) Edge - another guy who always delivers.

Things I don't like:
1) Mark Henry. He's sucked very hard for 15 years now. I don't know what kind of juice he has on Vince, but please get this waste off of tv.

2) CM Punk - I don't get it. Then again, I am over the age of 15.

3) The Jeff Hardy mega-push. This dude keeps effing up his spot, and keeps getting it back. The dude delivers in his crazy ppv spots, but I don't need to see him every week.

4) Not allowing angles to develop. Used to be that weekly tv was used to ferment angles for quarterly or even yearly ppv pay-off. Now, angles are forced to resolve in a few weeks' time.

I really dont think Dusty and Ted Snr should get involved. It's obvious that Orton and Priceless are going to team up and form a stable, which im looking forward to as we havn't had a good stable in a while.

The Jericho/Michaels feud is class. I seriously think Jericho winning the title on Sunday was a rushed decision and has weakened the intesity of the feud. Im just looking forward to the final match up between the two if there is one.

I do get CM punk, but I'm slightly biased as I have watched since ROH. I think in a company full of roid monkeys with ppl getting suspended every couple of weeks a guy who is straight edge to make it to the top is quite an achievement.

Random thought; probably most of you have already noticed...the increase in striking moves over typical wrestling moves in response to the popularity of MMA. Agree?

100%, yes. So money. My only minor gripe with him is his music. It should stay Italian opera all the time, not switch to the upbeat stuff 15 seconds in.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Lots of choke holds and other legit-looking submission type moves, too.

I grew up on atomic leg drops and outlawed pile drivers, and anything which deviates from that is pretty much overkill for me.

Agree. It happened in Japan 15 years ago, USA is catching up.

Also, I'm a big Punk fan but I saw him in ROH DVDs. It's sort of like watching a guy you saw in a local community theater 5 years ago, and he was really outshining everyone, and now he's headlining the new Batman movie.

SD is extremely entertaining, much more than RAW. THE Brian Kendrick is my new favorite, I love how they are booking him as well as Zeke. Also I'm happy they are pushing Shelton.

This past Smackdown was one of the best recently. I could care less about the Vickie/Undertaker/Big Show stuff, but the HHH/Hardy segment was great and the four-way was really good...with HHH, Hardy, Benjamin and Kendrick fighting for the top of the card, they've got plenty of talent to put on some great cards.

I think SmackDown is better for JR because the show has more wrestling than Raw and JR's strength is calling matches, imo.

Does it really have more wrestling than Raw? This week's did, but for a long time the show has been getting bogged down by Edge/Vickie stuff.

Agreed that JR's strength is calling matches...but he can push an angle better than Cole can too. This neutered version of Lawler who acts like a total babyface on Raw is worthless too, so it kind of leaves Raw in the lurch.

Vince wants Smackdown to be the "A" Brand once it moves in October, hence moving Ross/HHH/Hardy to Smackdown. Wrestling-wise, ECW is the B-show with the garbage that Raw has been giving us lately. Hopefully ECW doesn't get a 2nd hour, as they'll probably ruin it with less wrestling/Evan Bourne/Miz and Morrison and more promos

Is ECW actually worth watching?

I mostly keep up with Raw (although usually it's a DVR catch-up later in the week during football season), and have become interested again in Smackdown, but ECW I haven't basically watched since they introduced the brand extension. I liked the old ECW, but Heyman not being in charge, I just assumed that this was a watered down version that wouldn't be any good.
