Ah, see normally these transitional moves are not enough to keep a superstar down. The person receiving the move is focused on their opponent and are able to prepare themselves at the last instant for impact, negating the full power of the move. In these environments however they have their attention divided on the plethora of potential angles of attack and the move hits full strength. Think of how a move seems so much more effective in a normal match after a distraction.
