Oh come on PJ, you have to admit that Bears fans in general are the dumbest people on planet earth, and that even includes the parts of the world where they're too poor to have books and stuff.

(And that doesn't even make mention of their delusional nature or their obnoxiousness.)

the point is you very clearly have no taste, so any opinion of yours is irrelevant

So...you're a Bears fan and a Bulls fan, leading me to the logical notion that you are native to that geographic region and chose your pro teams that way. Shockingly enough, me too! It has nothing to do with taste.

PS: You must have carved out an exception for my awful taste with regard to college sports since we're both Hoosier fans.

Bears Bulls Sox IU Memphrica. Yeah so why is a Seattle fan a Hoosier fan?

Come on IRM, it gave us a GOAT meme

I work in downtown Indy and I saw Eli Manning getting off the team bus yesterday.

One thing I'm only just realizing is that if the 49ers had won the NFC title game, not only would I have been stuck watching them in the Super Bowl but I would have been drowning in a state full of people who hate the Patriots so much that they would welcome the 49ers as folk heroes. Thank God that didn't come to pass, because I don't know that I could have gotten through it with my sanity.

I go to law school at IU. Hoosiers are admittedly of #2 loyalty to me in college athletics and my #1 loyalty is to Washington State University (my undergrad). I do have season basketball tickets to the Hoosiers though, I figured why not embrace a Big Ten team since I didn't give a damn about any of them before moving east...and to my knowledge IU and WSU haven't played each other in my life in either of the big two college sports, so there's no conflict. Would root for WSU if one ever arose though.

I've always been very much against sports bigamy, but it seems like there's a carve-out for having actually gone to the two schools.

Currently go there? I visit from time to time hmmm...

I agree on the latter, there are some exceptions. Im a Blackhawks fan, but Im also a Pens fan due to my mom being from there and taking me to games. On an ironic token, my Dad is from Wisconsin and went to UW and I hate evthing about Wisconsin.

Yeah, I graduate in May, then the plan is to move to Indy. So, I'm in Bloomington for a few more months.

I previously sort of liked Wisconsin as my Big Ten team of choice from across the country, just because that's where WSU got Dick and Tony Bennett from, but now that the Bennetts have departed us and I go to IU...meh, yeah, **** Wisconsin. I did want them to beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl though dammit.

I am aware. What I'm also aware of is that the Seahawks both had their loss from last week made to look less shameful in the early session, and then eviscerated the **** out of the Cowboys in the later session. Perhaps it's our turn to take out the Packers next week.

But yeah nice win against Detroit I guess. While I will root against SF on a weekly basis, Detroit sports nation is unlikable and they're more difficult to get behind than most so meh.

Also PJ, EMc floated the idea of a dedicated football thread last week which was part of why I bumped this one. We could probably just use this one, though you may want to turn the thread title into less of an eyesore.

I really wish Jim Schwartz would have grown a pair and lunged at Jim Harbaugh's knees when he went in for the handsake.
