He throws a safer knee than Nakamura, don't see that getting nerfed

This might be an unpopular opinion but Okada just does nothing for me and I can't quite put my finger on why. He's obviously excellent in the smoothness he does everything but there's just nothing to him.

Okada

I love the cockiness, the entrance, the theme song, his moveset, even the way he walks around the ring is different from other guys.

I just don't see it but I also wasn't watching when he was actually a heel so that might be it. He is objectively phenomenal in the way he hits his moves and is one of the most precise wrestlers I've ever seen.

But like, nowadays Tannahashi is more cocky than Okada and I see guys like Shibata, Ishii and Naito and they way they wrestle in character and it just makes Okada seem like a robot that was programmed to wrestle.

NJPW president talking about having a separate rotating cast of characters under an NJPW show/promotion in the US starting this year and really ramping up next year. Interesting stuff.

And who better to headline all that **** than KO...

Also love Okada and his mannerisms. He's a born star, Japanese total package. I can see daro's point in some way though. Sometimes dudes can hit everything so well that it ends up looking like a videogame because there isn't that organic struggle to it.

Took at least 30 seconds to realize you meant Okada and not KO.

yea but imo Kennys seems way more violent lol. We all know how Vince can be and just straight up ruin wrestling LOL.

Hard for me to see Vince allowing a POV camera view like NJPW does right next to the guy taking the kee next to the ropes. I can see like WWE pulling a smackdown and changing camera views right as he lands the knee. smh

Didn't Nak completely potato Aries earlier this year with that knee?

Yes, and unless there was another injury he had, it's the reason he is still only on commentary for 205 Live

EVOLVE 76 was crazy tonight. The top rope busted in the opening match as Peter Kaasa attempted a backflip; he landed on his head and got his bell rung really good. Then in the main event between Chris Hero and Keith Lee it broke again. So they did a 2 rope match for the next 15 minutes. Until Hero tried a jump off the 2nd rope and broke it. Incredible improv in the face of numerous equipment malfunctions--still a clear 4 star match.

Matt Riddle (a wrestling prodigy btw) and ACH was outstanding and the clear MotN. Really great show overall--really happy I splurged for a FloSlam subscription.

I've never actually watched an Evolve show. I hear they're good but just never got around to it. Also never seen a Riddle match and I hear he's good too. Needs to put some shoes on though.

Well he was a reasonably successful former UFC guy so he rolls with an MMA gimmick that's fused with this laid back "bro" persona.

He had the GOAT KO in The Ultimate Fighter show history:

I dropped $150 for a year sub (otherwise it's $20/month). Show was really great. EVOLVE 77 is tomorrow. Chris Hero vs. Zach Sabre Jr. is going to be awesome.

Anyone else interested in catching EVOLVE77 on FloSlam today? It comes on at 3PM EST in like 20 minutes.

Lol my wife asked if Yehi and ACH had a safe word during that spot.

Riddle vs. Dustin was awesome; Riddle with 2 x 4 star matches this weekend. That final suplex through the chairs was ***Official Indy/Puro Thread***

I will never watch a Chris Hero match until he either takes care of himself or puts some ****ing clothes on.

Does anyone have any experience in going to a NJPW show? I'll be in Japan from April 30th to May 12th and really want to see one but having trouble finding a schedule up to those dates. Have they announced that far?
