Holy **** Eva Marie is awful at everything. Is she doing this on purpose? She's making Roman Reigns sound like Paul Heyman.

I'm terrified of the prospect of Nia Jax interfering in that match and costing Bayley the title.

Eva Marie winning the title would be hilarious.

I would fully expect some "it's still real to me!" type riot at Full Sail if that happened.

"This is awesome" chant during the Gable/Jordan vs Ascension stare down before the match had started.

They've gone too far.

After the past 6 months, I can't envision The Ascension ever getting that chant. So, I've gotta agree with you.

The range of emotions Baylee goes through while listening to her attempt to talk is super entertaining. She goes from embarrassed for Eva, to entertained at how bad it is, to relieved the segment is over.

Yeah, the nxt crowd is like the tourist that takes pictures constantly and never actually looks up at the pyramids-- they spend the whole time chanting and not even paying actual attention to the match.

Many of the NXT audience members act like they are stars themselves. 'I'm here on the WWE Network, attending this wrestling that is better than WWE main roster, these wrestlers who will one day be big stars before the mainstream does, and I'm going to try and get chants over' is what seems to be going through their head and heart. Part of it is just the social media age where many feel the need to not just go somewhere and enjoy something, but be noticed and recognized for going somewhere and enjoying something. But NXT crowds are worse than other wrestling crowds that size.

Heels acknowledging and shutting down or egging on crowds like that seem to be rarer than ever nowadays. Kevin Owens had that great promo before NXT Brooklyn, but I miss the days of Kurt Angle or HHH just controlling crowds like that

They can break the scripts. Reigns clearly did not long ago (this ain't boring this is real life comment). Others have said they have without any repercussions. WWE wrestlers aren't really trained to come up with their own stuff now though because of the division of labor where creative comes up with verbiage and wrestlers perform it. It isn't like when HHH started in WCW when he asked before his first promo "What do I say?" and Flair (the booker at the time) told him "That's up to you".

Then there is a matter of incentives. Outside of WWE there aren't that many US wrestlers making good money anymore. Guys aren't willing to take a chance anymore because there is no safety net of alternative places to work if they upset somebody.

Crews absolutely squashed Jesse Sorrenson this week. It was a good 3-5 min move fest and it was fun to watch. If he did that on Raw every week they would have a star in a few months.

For people who like to watch two people beat the **** out of each other, check out Samoa Joe vs. Tommaso Ciampa this week.

good match, looked super stiff

corbin vs dillinger was a nice semi-squash match too. quick match, msostly corbin crushing, but dillinger came out looking better somehow imo. don't know why they can't book those on the main roster.

NXT has done and amazing job rebuilding the tag division in a short amount of time. They now have several tag teams I care about watching where as the main roster really has a hard time building more than one or two.

Also, I absolutely hate the NXT crowd now. All they want to do is hear themselves. Some of the crap they start chanting doesn't even make sense.

The cool thing would be you'd know most the guys/girls because they're now on the main roster.

May 22, 2013 is the debut of Sami Zayn. That's a reasonable starting point.



There's a bunch of good stuff before that, but you could back-fill those episodes later.

Does the network go back that far? I marathoned from the first available show about a year ago and it started somewhere around the beginning of 2014.

I no longer have it, so I can't comment on that. If it doesn't, then definitely start at the earliest episode you're able to.

Great episode this week. Well over half the crowd needs to be executed, but everything else was top notch.
