It's like people hold up the WWE to this idealized notion of a promotion that's never existed. The WWE's casting a wide net with their product, and they've got to serve a pretty diverse audience. There's never going to be a card that's just pure smarkporn.

This stuff is baked into the product you've been watching for years. I don't get this constant tilting at windmills where people ask the WWE to be something it isn't. Doesn't it just get tiring?

If we're going to get stuff like this, I'd at least like it to be a good story- and I think Steph/Brie would be that. It's going to be like 20 minutes on a 3 hour show that will likely have Brock/Cena, Ambrose/Rollins, Roman/Orton and likely other fun stuff. I'll happily watch that.

There's no way they killed the streak for Brock not to go over in his next match.

(yes, there's obviously more of it, but I don't get how you become a wrestling fan without a strong ability to roll your eyes and turn away when it's bad).
I'm not among those who thought the show was bad, but I will say that it's pretty natural to weight the main event more heavily than a match in the middle of the show. The quality (and result) of the main event is what leaves more of a long-term taste in your audience's mouth, good or bad. Some shows get rescued this way (see: when Shawn Michaels and/or Bret Hart would main event WWF in the mid-90s while the undercard sucked), some shows get made to look worse than they were by a bad main event (see: most of WCW's peak, when their undercard rocked and their main events were usually awful).

I know what you're saying, but I do think that it's perfectly reasonable to be more demanding of the main event than of the Adam Rose match in the middle.

The one thing that does worry me about future WWE is whatever you can read into having Bryan poop all over Bo. We've seen with BNB and Cesaro that the WWE seems not to love tweeners and tries to keep their heels heels, Bo has to live as a tweener.

It's reasonable to expect the ME to be better yes, but it's not a reason to **** on the product as a whole. When people ignore all the great stuff to just be all "lolCenawins this sucks" it's frustrating. The point of being smarks should be you know, being smart, and seeing the bigger picture.

I'd like to see Sheamus vs. Cesaro continue, but if it isn't then Sheamus vs. Bray could be a good US Title feud.

The only face on his level card-wise is Sheamus.

My secret hope is a Harper face turn and their feud, but that's just because I want to see Luke Harper as the Hero King to the People.

This is where our opinions diverge. Big time.

I'd definitely be down for Rusev-Sheamus as well. I assume they're going to keep sending Rusev after Americans for now though.

Last night on the broadcast they said they didn't know when Barrett would be back.

I wonder if they were hesitant to say that Barrett just had a seperation given that Dean was going to work that specific injury in the actual match. Can't make BNB look bad by having him miss even one match when Ambrose runs back in after his "separation".

I think Steph/Brie will be good (or at least good enough) because 1- they've got a good foundation from which to work, 2- Steph's been so great it almost can't help but be good. As long as they stay away from Kane horror angles I'll be happy.

Gotcha. I haven't been keeping up with raw and SD. Now his actions make more sense I suppose

Brock wrestles about 2 times a year and already is a big attraction. I imagine the plan was to fatten him up to feed him to Bryan. If any kind of plan existed.

Watched MITB today after attending last night. It was nice that they found a place to re-introduce Adam Bomb's glasses.

Seth, you have a bright future. A year from now you could be Damian Sandow.

I think Dean was working a dislocation, not a separation.
