This pay-per-view WWE Network special is going to be historic™! This special's brought to you by the leader of the Women's Revolution™, Stephanie McMahon.

Is it a coincidence that the name of the special's "Evolution"? Is this a way to give credit to HHH for having brought them up through NXT? Will this be the theme song to the ppv?

The biggest question is, would this have happened without Stephanie McMahon? Surely not, right?

My actual biggest question here is, would this ever happen if ppv were still the model of WWE? I seriously doubt it. Alright, actual ppv talk:

This ppv will feature over 50 women and will have matches for:
SD! Women's belt
RAW Women's belt
NXT Championship
Mae Young Classic Finals

Legendary women already announced for the show:
Lita
Trish Stratus
Someone else I forget

Lastly, I'd like to propose a drinking game with the forum. Every time the word "history" or "historic" is said, we take a shot. I wonder if anyone would/will survive this.

I've created this thread early because of how historic™ it is and will be!

Thoughts on the ppv:

I can't imagine that Ronda doesn't win the RAW title at SummerSlam. However, I'd like to see that held off until this ppv somehow. I just don't see how that can possibly happen.

Despite being a huge fan of Carmella, I'd like to see Becky vs. Charlotte for the SD! title

Sasha and Bailey will still be in love when we get to this ppv.

On October 6, there's a Network special in Australia. Saudi show is rumored to take place in November. But yeah, it def cancels it out. Someone on another forum said that maybe this ppv is kind of a make up of sorts to the women for the continued relationship with Saudi's and leaving them off of all of those shows. I don't think that's why this ppv is happening but rather:

This event could legitimately have the worst build in WWE history.

I'm already dreading the "all the women in the ring celebrating" stupidity, the Stephanie McMahon overexposure, and all the Susan G Komen nonsense.

eyebooger, that post reminds me of this:

I wonder if any single segment on the way to this special will ever top that one as the nut low for #givedivasachance. The announcement of the special was pretty close. HHH saying "some of us watched with a tear in our eye" as he tried to make himself cry was pathetic.

Speaking of SGK, perhaps they could have pink ropes for the special.

That clip is pretty bad, but it has no Stephanie McMahon, so I find it hard to believe it's the worst.

Every single segment she is in becomes worse just by the fact that she's in it.

They should have a pink ribbon match

Ribbons would be placed strategically around the ring area and
you have to get them and attach to your board/other totem pole/on yourself
and most ribbons win.

It could be a fun, light hearted match so as to be respectful and such.

I don't know what they are talking about with this being the first all female PPV. I used to buy lots of all girl Pay Per Views back before I could get it free on the Internet.

I'd like to think this show itself could be good.

Certainly agree that the build is a lock to be absolutely painful, so I'm sure I won't watch much (if any) of the weekly TV between now and then.

Read somewhere that WWE made more money from that Saudi show $40-50 million than on anything else they did this this year.

I have a pretty neutral level of excitement towards this, but knowing:

--they'll bring out every female wrestler from the last 25 years, and

--they'll be patting themselves on the back pretty damn routinely for this,

...makes me hate the whole thing already.
