well as a casual I finally got around to watching this

weird weird, weird show

+ women beating men 1 on 1 (wwe jobbers it could be worse) more jeff hardy style wrestling than wwe style--I'm fine with the owner going with slimeball cheapass gimmick

- whatever the nonsense the 7 aztec medallions with power is, the leap of faith you need for wrestling angles still isn't enough for me on this one. also googling spoiled me since it's TNA style taped months ago apparently. Even with camera tricks looks like almost nobody is there watching. It's on a network nobody has. (watched it on whatever youtube channel put it up)

Was a bit surprised at that many americans. They don't mind going through guys history with other companies.

Surely there's some spanish word that fits better. Would also def have a mexico soccer team shot fired every week as a heel (I'd never be a face wrestler) if I had any ability to do that.

One clip through their YT channel (the official one) is mundo jumping from the balcony straight to a roll into the ring, would've been ridic if he actually did a move (though very understandable why he didn't). Maybe they'd get mysterio on that show or botchamania sin cara for season 2? idk.

Ultima Lucha predictions:

The Mack vs. Cage: No way they let Cage lose 3x in a row

Johnny Mundo vs. Alberto El Patron: Not really sure on this one. Alberto won the first match, so I'm guessing that Mundo wins this one.

Bengala vs. King Cuerno vs. Sexy Star vs. Big Ryck vs. Jack Evans vs. Fenix vs. Aerostar: They've certainly been building for Fenix to win this. I really can't imagine anyone else winning here, except maybe King Cuerno.

Texano vs. Blue Demon Jr: They keep talking about Texano's Mega Championship reign, but he hasn't done that much in LU. I can't see any reason to give Blue Demon Jr the win here.

Son of Havoc/Ivelisse/Angelico vs The Disciples of Death: They haven't built this up that much and I don't know why. I wish Puma hadn't easily dispatched all three of the Disciples of Death by himself at the end of last episode. Why not involve Team Dysfunction?

Drago vs. Hernandez: This is really unpredictable in my book. Could go either way.

Vampiro vs. Pentagon Jr: They've got an amazing character in Pentagon Jr. I'm just hoping they don't **** it up.

Prince Puma vs. Mil Muertes: Puma's held the title the entire season. It's time for a change. Mil's the guy to take it from him. Plus if Fenix wins the 7-way match, it's a natural feud.

Cage vs. Mack was a lot of fun. Crowd is super hot.

Pretty good start to Ultima Lucha.

Cage/Mack was a great brawl.

Trios title match was a little underwhelming, but I think that's because: A) My standards have gotten too high; B) It wasn't as promoted in previous shows as much as I had hoped it would be; C) The heels won, so the excitement wasn't there at the end. (Yes I understand that this needs to happen sometimes for wrestling to work properly)

Drago/Hernandez was a lot of fun. Can't believe they actually used real fans for that.

Super excited for the finale. There goddamn well better be a second season.

I spent part of yesterday doing my best to get caught up on LU. In other words, I watched the last 4 shows before last night's premier, and the one thing I came away with was regret that I ever got away from watching this. What a great build up for the season finale, and I watched a few of the shows before last night.

I will say that eventhough the build has been really good, Im not sure how good Vampiro/Pentagon is going to be. Vampiro was a great wrestler back in the day but that was 15 years ago and maybe its his wardrobe, but he doesnt look in the greatest of shape. But I will watch next week with an open mind and hope for the best.

Cage/Mack was a classic brawl.

Cant believe WWE let go of Cage from developmental. He has the size and athleticism and also the look Vince likes.

In a recent interview Cage called WWE officials idiots, which I agree with lol.

Cant wait for the next week 2 hr show. Mundo vs El patron babbbbyyyyyyyyyyy!
