I know it's almost a year away but I thought it would be fun if we all did our predictions for what we thought WM 31 will be, then we can so who actually got the closest to the real card.

Wrestlemania 31 Hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin:

Sheamus(c) vs. Bad New Barrett(c): Intercontinental/US Championship Unification Both guys hold their titles from now until Wrestlemania. Natural feud between Ireland and England with both men wanting to show they are the superior talent.

Bo Dallas vs. Bray Wyatt Bo debuts with his "heel who thinks he's a face gimmick" after a while Bo catches on that the audience really doesn't like him. This leads Bray to have his brother join the family. Bo refuses and turns face in the process.

A.J. vs. Paige(c): Divas Championship A.J. returns says Paige got lucky to beat her blah blah blah...

HHH vs. John Cena Cena vs the Authority is going to eventually happen. Whether it happens before Wrestlemania or not is still up in the air but I wouldn't be surprised to see Cena/HHH.

Andre the Giant Battle Royal Winner Roman Reigns.

Undertaker vs. Sting After Elimination Chamber everyone starts to speculate if Undertaker will return for one last WM match. It's announced that Taker will give an announcement on his future at Raw. Taker appears cuts a promo saying he's done when Sting interrupts him setting up a match between the two. Taker wins and retires, Sting gets inducted into the HOF and gets to appear at a WM.

Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk Bryan vs. Lesnar in a no DQ match for the WWE championship headlines the Royal Rumble. Bryan hits Lesnar with the shinning wizard and is about to pin him when CM Punk interferes causing Bryan to lose the match. The next night on Raw Punk cuts a promo saying that everything Bryan Danielson achieved this year should have been his, leading the two to have a match at Wrestlemania.

Brock Lesnar(c) vs. Cesaro: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Cesaro wins the Royal Rumble. In the upcoming weeks Heyman turns on Cesaro and sides 100% with Lesnar allowing Cesaro to finally turn face. Lesnar ending the Streak means that he can now make someone into an even bigger star than he could before. This is what he'll do for Cesaro at Wrestlemania.

I left off some big names like Batista, Orton, Ambrose, and Rollins. I have no idea if Batista will be around or if Evolution and the Shield will still be together by then. As for now I'll just put them all in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Yeah I did the match order wrong. If that's the actually card I would think Taker/Sting closes the show with it being Taker's retirement match.

Monster event but the biggest news here may be that they actually put the championship match as the main event with Rock vs Cena being the Co-Main Event. The Divas match is a filler match, but is one with ramifications that people care about.

LMAO, this would get like the worst ratings ever. Cena retired?!? Evolution retired? good main event and good shield match but that's it. Big Show vs Kane retirement match belongs on Smack Down lol.

I'd be hyped for Dylan's card. I'd add Ambrose vs Rollins to it though.

My bad, I wasn't very clear. When I said ratings I meant like "ppv buys" or viewings (WWE Subscriptions). I was just commenting on the card's marketability rather than the quality of the matches. Your card is a bit underwhelming for a Wrestlemania card...where as my card is probably a bit too stacked with big names even for Wrestlemania.

Hadn't checked yours out yet. Seems like yours would get buys (and tons of them) but that's a fantasy card that can't happen. I will redo my card since I forgot about a few big guys but I'm not expecting Rock, Sting, Taker, Austin, Punk to show up.

I think this is going to be an epic wrestlemania because there won't be the big name part timers that show up. They'll have to put on a great show without that star power. Lesnar will be there and Batista isn't really part time. I would give odds that Rock won't set foot in a WWE ring again (to wrestle). I'd give odds against Punk wrestling next year. Same goes for Sting, he will never wrestle. Sign? Sure. Wrestle? No. Taker is a more than likely no because I think he's just a respect the business guy that will go out on his back and he's done.

and if he somehow does end up in a ring, i really doubt it will be vs undertaker. it just wouldn't make any sense for (1) sting to beat taker (which means taker ends his career on a 2 match losing streak) or (2) sting to come to WWE to wrestle one match and lose it

I'm going to hold you personally responsible if they re-split the WWE and WHC belts.

I don't want it, but it wouldn't shock me. Basically, it seems like Brock will be challenging for the main title next year, but they also can't really have him just win the rumble or anything I don't think (he's more just like a "he gets to challenge for it whenever because he broke the streak), so I think they'll split it for the RR winner next year to challenge for WHC.


Edit: also, I have a lot of people in that guess like Bray/Bryan in the Battle Royal and for it to be pushed as a pretty big honor after Cesaro gets pushed to the moon this year. So not really them falling completely off, just using their star power to make that thing seem even more important.


Edit 2: I guess they can have Brock go into WM as the champion, but I think winning at Summerfest will be too early, at the Rumble a bit too late in order to make it where he's some unstoppable force terrorizing the WWE and Cena has to save the day, and don't see him him really working any dates between. You know?

It's an interesting thread idea, but the fact that a WWE booker could make an honest post ITT with his guess right now and probably go 0-for-8 sort of precludes me from mustering the WIM to even take much of a hack at it. I'll say Lesnar (c) vs. Cena for the WWE Title as the main event though.

Semi-grunching;

A lot of people predicting Reigns to win the battle royal. Would be a disastrous year for him not to end up with a big opponent at Mania.

Wasn't the battle royal a one-off thing anyway?
