I like the Backlund/Young dynamic, but wish they had built Young more slowly toward a title shot than just giving him the battle royal win. At this point it still comes off silly to see him getting an IC Title shot.

In ye olden days they'd go for the "close until a rookie mistake ends it, showcasing his talent while showing he still needs a bit more work with the veteran mentor" thing and pay it off like 9 months later.
