I would agree with this, especially because they haven't announced they kicked him out.

Just back from holidays so haven't read everything yet, but how the **** can you remove Hulk Hogan from the HOF because of a private convo?

If we were all held to account based on one private convoy we would all be screwed or have offended someone.

I assume it's bc Vince can do whatever the hell he wants since he owns the company and the hall of fame.

The HOF is absolute nonsense anyway and has next to no credibility.

I guess he will be returned after he dies, the sob stories are over and people talk about how he paid for his mistake, but ultimately he was not racist so is now forgiven.

Has nothing at all to do with the $50m he cost on the stock exchange or anything to do with having him associated with the company after using the do--we-can-we-say-it term.

Replaced on Tough Enough by Miz.

THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS, DAMMIT HOGAN

(actually it's probably a genuine improvement anyway)

I find The Miz to be excellent at everything in the business except for his in ring work

I don't really get the hate for The Miz. Yeah, he isn't great in the ring, but not many wrestlers today are in the WWE. He is good on screen at a lot of things and genuinely is better than >90% of the current roster.

So you believe that he's roughly the fifth best thing about the WWE?

The thing that gets me is Vince used the n-word and got a pass because it was in a work of fiction. Try telling that to Mark Twain.

I'm pretty sure Mark Twain is dead.

Of course he gets a pass. Vince was an actor playing the part of "Mr. McMahon" using that word in the context of being an out of touch, clueless, old white man trying to be cool. It wasnt Vince McMahon having a genuine conversation with someone using that word. It would be like blackcalling Ed Norton for saying the things he did in American History X. Yeah I know one is a movie and the other was a poorly written skit on a wrestling show, but it is the same thing

You get my point. Both were works of fiction, but one (the classic) has to be changed while the other gets a pass.

Probably the wrong place for this discussion, but virtually all black Americans have varying degrees of European admixture, whereas Africans generally do not. Thus Obama has a higher percentage of African ancestry than the rock.

Now, whether the rock would be viewed as "blacker" in the public eye because his other parent was a minority whereas Obama's was white is likely a truism

Jordan was my hero as a kid and finding out he was a degenerate ******* when I was adult felt ****ty.

The difference to me is that what Jordan did affected other people and although I strongly disagree with what Hogan said, there is no evidence that he pushed this view on people or acted racist towards anyone. That doesn't make it right but "exposing" him is only hurting the fans and only benefiting the people getting click money. A lot of casual fans of all races that loved Hogan have now had that soured. Probably an unpopular opinion but WWE doing what they did only adds to it. Agree with Fear that what they've done to Hogan is so hypocritical that it's only going to hurt them.
Wait what did Jordan do? Are you referring to SpaceJam?
