If he isnt in a boiler room match with Mankind or Undertaker, I want him no where near what is going on. Bray coming back will help break up the monotonous dynamic that has taken over raw the past 2 months.
There seems to be an implicit thought in this comment that Bray himself counts as top tier talent -- or else anyone else could fill the role of "not top tier guy changing things up" just as well.

The problem is that Bray is not top tier talent, either in terms of actual in ring ability, or in kayfabe terms of who he's actually beaten in the last forever (lost to Cena, had to have severe help to beat Chris Jericho lol).

This problem is made worse because week after week the top wrestlers do a gigantic live discussion segment. Sure, that works if you have Austin, Jericho, Vince, etc. It's like they are using a template or recipe that the no longer have the ingredients for.

I know I'm way higher on Bray than everyone else, but I'm predicting everyone who is against a Bray/Amrbose feud right now will feel differently in a couple months.

Yeah that's what everyone said about Wyatt as a character but over a year later he is still boring with no depth at all. He just attacks people for no reason then cuts a bunch of bad promos that people think are edgy because they're random. He was stale during the Jericho feud so they're trying to make him relevant again by pairing him with the hottest guy. Why should we care about a guy who lost to Jericho clean? He is a mid card heel that WWE desperately wants to be a main eventer.

Interesting stat about Rollins vs Ambrose at HIAC.

The main event was the first match since November 23rd, 1994 (Survivor Series) that two WWE Superstars under the age of 30 headlined a singles match on PPV. That match featured The Undertaker vs. Yokozuna.

Another interesting stat that I don't know the answer to...

Rollins vs Ambrose is the first match to close a PPV in which none of the competitors had ever previously or currently held the WWE or World title since __________?

(Best I can come up with off the top of my head is Bigelow/LT, but there must have been one since then)

Bret vs. Bulldog would be another, but that's older than Bigelow/LT.

Austin/Owen/Cactus Jack/Terry Funk vs. HHH/New Age Outlaws/Savio Vega is one. That was the PPV before Austin won it for the first time, and a decent whiel before Foley or HHH won it.

Rock vs. Foley in Survivor Series later that year. Rock won the title in that match but obviously hadn't had it yet.

Forgot that Rock/Foley was his first title win. That was still like 16 years ago.

I'd think there must have been one since then.
