Has Sting officially signed with WWE?(This is a question not new information) Has Sting officially signed with WWE?(This is a question not new information)

I was a huge wrestling fan back in the 90's so if Sting comes back I'll definitely start watching fulltime again but I'm out of the loop a bit these days, I still see what's going on every now and then though.

I've seen talk of this online but haven't seen anything official. If he is coming back has there been any talk about when he might start appearing on TV?

You could have posted this in at least 4 different threads and got a response. Just saying...

Sting may or may not have signed, nobody seems to know. If he does sign I can't imagine him wrestling full-time anymore. I'm pretty indifferent to seeing him again; I'd generally rather just see the younger guys on the card keep their current share of the spotlight.

If the thing keeping you from wrestling is a 50 year old guy who probably can't work anymore, I'm not sure wrestling is for you.

Where in my post did I say I don't watch WWE because Sting isn't there?

This was Sting's last match, filmed in January this year. It's not the whole match, an overbooked mess, he's working with a very average worker and is just terrible but he still doesn't move that bad for his age. He looks old and needs to drop the t-shirt but the WWE could scrub him up and I'm sure he could pull out a decent 10 min match with someone competent. Coming back full time would be dumb and is not happening but I wouldn't be opposed to a month long angle with a match preferably putting someone over. With that said I've just never been that big of a Sting fan and would probably just rather he stick to interviews and HOF type stuff.

He's still got some wrestle left in him to work with. SCSA and Foley would get huge pops even though they can't wrestle. The Undertaker is super popular and he only wrestles/wrestled once a year. Not even Lesnar beating him clean was believable but for some reason if Sting had ended the streak it would've been one of the great moments in wresting history.

Batista was brought back for a face push and he's 45, everyone booed though so he went heel and they gave the title to Bryan kicking and screaming because the crowd goes wild for him(I wanted him to win too but his yes gimmick is getting annoying)

Now I'm probably going to watch the next few Raws just to see if I can get back into it regardless of Sting being there or not but my recent experience with WWE has not been enjoyable at all.

Lesnar is a much more believable character to the end the streak. He was a UFC Heavyweight Champion in a real fighting contest. If he never had his physical problems, he should have been the most dominant champion ever.

Yeah well maybe if he hadn't been beaten by Cena in is first match back they could have portrayed him as the monster he should be. He ended the streak and no one bought it. It was met with bewilderment.

That reaction would've happened if anybody would've beat him because nobody thought he was ever going to lose the streak. Everybody buys him as a monster, because everybody knows he is. I can only laugh at the notion that losing to Cena hurt his credibility at all*. If anything his loss vs. HHH @ WM 28 was worse.

*a lot of this being because he lost at a small time event and it was two ****ing years ago.

if by "greatest moments" you mean "most pathetic moments", you're hitting the nail squarely on the head.

This yes thing is getting annoying.

That didn't take long. How long has Bryan been champ for? Three weeks?

If Sting had beat the streak it would've got a better reaction than Lesnar. Fact.

Well when Brock came back he got a huge pop from the crowd because he had that monster gimmick and everyone thought he'd/wanted him to beat Cena. Then he lost clean to Cena after he'd basically crushed him for 90% of the match and some of the shine was taken of him as a monster. What's laughable is you calling a PPV a "small time event"

If Brock had come back and the first thing he did was go after Undertakers streak it would've gone over better. As played it sucked.

It's not my personal opinion. Sting beating/wrestling Taker at WM would've been bigger than Lesnar Vs Taker. It would've been one of the bigger events in recent WWE history.

The yes gimmick has been going a lot longer than that. I'm glad he's the champ I'm just getting sick of the yes gimmick. Sorry.

Agree that Sting/Taker would have been a bigger deal than Lesnar/Taker but Sting beating the streak would have been all kinds of bad and Vince would never let a WCW made guy get such a significant win.

sting ending the streak would've been "big" as a notoriously bad booking decision, but that's about it. and this is coming from a guy who likes sting and doesn't like taker.

Yeah when I say Sting/Taker would be big, I mean 10 years ago. If it happened this year it would have been much worse than Lesnar/Taker.

Sting/Taker might have got more attention than Brock, but that's just a reflection of too many wrestling fans weirdly valuing nostalgia over quality.

Yeah I was a big WCW fan back in the 90's so my view of Sting is biased in that sense but I don't think nostalgia is the only reason this could be big.

If Sting had gone to the WWE during the attitude era I think it would've been a big deal. If the current era of wrestling had an AE level of popularity, I don't think Sting coming back would even be talked about.

It seems like there a so few real main event faces in the company at the moment, even wrestlers who are being pushed that way are being booed. Batista was brought back as a face and that fell flat. Cena nuf said. At least with Sting you could almost guarantee another cheered face you could write angles/stories around even if Taker/Sting is obsolete.

Last point, did you see Adam Rose debut? Take Rose out, put Sting in because Sting's debut has to go over better than that.

Yes I do realize that and I'm not saying he should be a top face for the next few years. I get he's old, he's nowhere near what he was. He shouldn't be able to come into the WWE and start main eventing but sadly I believe he could.

People keep bringing up his age but Flair wrestled at 55 in the WWE, Hogan was over 50 in the WWE and Sting is in better shape then they were. He'd be good for one or two good storylines, he doesn't even have to wrestle for most of it, just enough to build up to a PPV or two. They could even use him to help put over a few other potential faces, not by beating him but by writing them into the same storyline.

I've got not problem with Sting coming in and working a 1 or 2 match program, he looks a hell of a lot better than most wrestlers 10 years younger than him. The impression you gave me is that you wanted him to come back as a regular.
