The purpose of this thread is mainly to cover the 9 WWE youtube shows they are producing, but we may as well include stuff like Botchamania and anything like the Z!TLIS that any indy guys do plus if there are interviews worth watching they might as well get included too.

This isnt about posting matches as we have a thread for that, so its basically any videos about wrestling that isnt wrestling.

-----

OK, to start off i may as well cover what the WWE is doing. They have 9 shows planned on their channel, four of which are live, one of which is Z!TLIS that hasnt been folded in yet but will soon i assume.

The shows are:

Santino's Foreign Exchange
Santino interviewing fans and other wrestlers, if you have ever seen Santino before you should have a decent idea what it will be like.

WWE Download
Dolph Ziggler meets Tosh.0 as he takes videos off youtube and then voice over mocks them with some to-camera monologues tying it together, but WWE style so it involves anal leakage jokes (seriously, the first episde has an anal leakage joke).

WWE Inbox
This is basically a question and answer where fans can send in questions and then they ask various wrestlers

Outside the Ring
This is where WWE talent talk about their hobbies "outside the ring". Clearly this lives and dies on whether the hobbies are interesting and/or can be presented in an entertaining way.

T!LIS
The show that started this concept off. Whether WWE manages to WWE-ify it or it stays more or less exactly how it was is up for debate, but time will tell.

Then there are four that i cant find any details on (admittedly i didnt look that hard):

Back Stage Fallout

Are you Serious?

WWE Presents

Superstar Toyz

Presumably BSF is a work channel where it does what wwe.com has where its "exclusive" footage of the characters setting up feuds and matches or just arguing in general or something. Kinda like when Eve and K2 stole Nattie and Beth's car or where Bryan challenged Kofi to a champ vs champ match (yeah, i dont use wwe.com much). AYS? is presumably some Ryder vehicle similar to the Santino one, Toyz im guessing is like where people film matches using the action figure toys but its really new and edgy cos they use a z instead of an s and Presents could be literally anything.

Good thread Phil. I'm gonna check these out at some point but I don't have high hopes for them since it is official WWE stuff. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

And, unsurprisingly, they all kinda sucked, haha.

I think the highlight is the Usos explaining that the reason Samoans are all fat is cos they love Mayo.

From what ive seen the concepts are fine. Inbox is so simple it should have happened years ago, the hobbies thing has plenty of potential when its not the Usos grilling up chicken and even though Santino was a lot flatter than he normally is i could see some hilarity in there if they get more footage and become much stingier in what makes it onto the show. I think when they get into the groove within a month or two a lot of it will be clicking well.

my hat's off to wwe for successfully finding a way to turn youtube into an instrument of torture

the dolph ziggler one actually is good when he is ripping on the wrestling commentators. the rest is kinda sad.

fun fact: wwe listed tosh.o as a tag for the zig show

Meh I like them. Sure they are kinda aidsy in terms of pure entertainment right now, but its kinda cool to see things where they kinda just drop the acts and you see them as normal people.

WWE Inbox was pretty cool. The first clip on the Ziggler show I literally couldn't watch the replay of, that's the type of accident we have nightmares about. I'll probably keep watching Inbox and Download, even Outside The Ring should be alright.

Just watched Santino's and it wasn't bad at all really. I'm surprised I thought they'd be awful and they were pretty watchable.

He was still working with WWF at the time, so he doesn't go off on Vince as much as he does in his later ones. Still there's nothing better than watching him bash Russo.

I just realised how genius that was. Theoretically there are a lot of people who werent watching Z! previously who will be doing so thanks to WWE promoting it directly, so having the first ep be an entire roundup of everything he has done before is just a great creative choice.

I also, unsurprisingly, think this is the best vid so far in the new youtube initiative. Its clear has been doing this for nearly a year and has smoothed out the kinks along the way.

rofl. so awful. seriously these were all really poorly thrown together as very obvious stop gap filler since the network is lagging so badly and they have zero idea what they are doing.

Just watched the Dolph and Santino ones, both were pretty boring and a little cringeworthy. Seriously, both these guys are entertaining characters on TV; I wish WWE would just let them do their thing.

Clicked on outside the ring but the title was something about the Uso's cooking chicken so I closed it before it started.

These Youtube videos remind me of this series of vignettes:

Backstage Fallout ep1 is out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzrCi...4QcIW3jQmN1a5X

Its actually a good concept poorly executed (so far) - its more or less what i expected where they show big events on the show and then they get a backstage mini interview reaction with a talent involved in it.

It falls down, so far, because:
1, its 1 minute of footage of the show with as little as 10 seconds content that follows
2, its largely passive coverage, ie it doesnt expand the actual story or even the characters

However, you should at least watch from the 3 minute mark (out of 4:05 btw) to get Cody Rhodes doing a really nice bit about the Elimination Chamber, including the awesome line "every superstar who thinks of the greatness of Wrestlemania, they dont go to bed dreaming of the Elimination Chamber, its a terrible terrible structure" really upselling the event.

Are you Serious? was good. I could easily watch a lot more of that weekly. I think it was hilarious how the show took a nosedive in entertainment when the puppet HHH turned up on it though.

(yeah, no way you are going to resist that video now, puppet game mofos!)

I thought it was pretty funny, they need to have the HHH puppet burry everyone.

I thought it was funny too it just kind of blew my mind that it existed at all. I actually thought he was going to bury the show and both of them for a second but then he made them play games.

And if WWE would kayfabe acknowledge HHH burying everything it would make me lolol for a long time and I might even be able to excuse some of it! (Not HHH and friends or burying Undertaker and the streak though. Even if the latter was just laying groundwork for 20-0 at WM it still doesn't excuse that.)
