He was a face when he first started in WWE and he was terrible. So bad that when he turned heel his heel character was just a whinier version of his current self.
I dunno, by WWE face standards he didn't really stand out as terrible to me. Obviously basically all WWE faces are pretty bad, but he's been a face for most of his career and it seems like it's the more natural fit for him.
When I think of terrible faces I think of the likes of New Day.
That's a pretty big miss for me in not picking Rocky for the heel turn question...though admittedly I'm surprised that it would be such an overwhelming sheep since it happened 20 years ago.
