Yeah, in the "this is awesome" era they're constantly talking about how "great" the matches are in a non-kayfabe sense instead of treating them like a fight, and it's very bad and annoying imo.

Only real problem with the finish to me is that such delayed pins never win under normal circumstances. In a vacuum I like the finish a lot, but it's true that it isn't consistent with how they book.

That said, "dissatisfying ending" is a good way for specifically Miz to go over anyway.

I watched some old stuff today and the announcers and corollary characters (managers, mean gene, etc) added SO MUCH to the shows. And that's all missing today.

Wish they would bring it back.

Been watching Raw and SD! from the WCW invasion angle lately. Shows are so much better. Bunch of backstage segments with Kurt Angle/Austin, APA, etc.
