Allright since we're allowed to use part timers however we want and the goal here is to build the best wrestling company (which I'm assuming includes revenue, ratings, and popularity) - pretty sure this guy is my clear 1.
I'll just get it out of the way up front and admit for almost all things wrestling related these days
Yabba Dabba Rock pretty much sucks and is a shell of his former self in pretty much every way. If we have to use part timers as part timers he's nowhere near my radar and I don't even consider drafting him until way late.
However, given I already get both his mega-over WWE run (which he accomplished by being completely awesome) and a guy who (according to Forbes) was the HIGHEST GROSSING ACTOR IN THE WORLD last year I think he's pretty clearly massively valuable in this. I'm getting a guy who already has an established wrestling legacy, left and absolutely crushed Hollywood, now coming back full-time on my programming for two shows a week and every PPV.
Like what he is now or not, casuals and (a lot) of smarks will never get tired of Rock appearances imo. We definitely don't plan on using him in the ring every show but he will be on every show in some capacity (whether it be cutting what are usually mediocre promos by his standards, helping build feuds/angles, or something as little as being on commentary to help put over younger guys or whatever) and he simply sells/draw a crowd.
Being the wrap here and being able to get another guy who is actually good on mic/in ring to pair with what will be by far the biggest megastar/draw of this draft helps me if a lot of people think I'm out of my mind reaching/spewing here but I think given our rule set he is the guy I woulda took at 1 overall. Second write-up incoming.
