Seeing that counter was probably the first instance that really got me sold on Nakamura. How in the world did he do that so smoothly?

It's pretty sweet. Kind of a related tangent. Why does everyone have to clasp their hands when they get put in the cross armbreaker? It's such a common move even dating back to 90's AJPW. For once just let it go smooth and have a guy tap out or be able to get out instead of such a boring spot because it isn't dramatic since main eventers in Japan never tap out. Well Jumbo did tap out in 1991 to Misawa.

Well ok, I knew why in real life. But I mean in wrestling where things are fake. A guy's building up all kinds of momentum, kicked a guys ass, and then the guy who's been receiving a beating just randomly locks his arms together because that's how this move goes. To me, it sucks all the air out of the comeback the guy made that's doing the move. By the time the arms are broken, nobody thinks the other is going to tap because of the energy it takes just to clasp arms together for as long as it took to get them apart.

Check out Okada vs Nakamura, G1 Climax 25 Day 18. Pretty good match, I liked it better than when they met at the finals, the year before.

. I gave that finals match 5* fwiw so I'll definitely check this one out.
