Big, believable spot teased --> match-long injury finally breaks the hero down --> villain capitalizes quickly with finisher is good stuff. Granted that Natural Selection is kinda lame, but I'm surprised that the ending is getting static ITT.

It just sorta came out of nowhere, and we've been trained that matches like this end with a giant spot.

You're right, though. It was totally not an issue.

Don't get me wrong, the match was very good, Charlotte's odd cover just left me a tad confused. It was almost like she didn't know the ref counted three

Yeah, anti-climactic. Partially because the Natural Selection is meh, but also because of the table-spot not breaking which was aided by Sasha having no idea how to set it up properly.

Overall great match though.

Meh, should have ended with Sasha going off the top of the cage.

Tbf, the way Ambrose was during that whole interview, it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't happen how Ambrose said it did. But regardless, do you really want to watch a Lesnar match heavy on weapons? I know they were in a tough spot with injuries, but that was just a bad idea for a Lesnar match.

You do bring up a good point about using him with people they have plans for. It's just a real awkward spot with Lesnar. You can't beat him too much, or even at all so that slows down the momentum of said wrestler, plus any program done with Lesnar is going to be just a few weeks max, with only one total match. Not that I want to see Lesnar go anywhere, I just think he might not have any usefulness left

Since the belt doesn't mean shut anyway just strap him again and let him destroy any challengers every 3 months

Although it is kinda funny that one of the reasons the ending seemed anticlimactic is because WWE has us so into thinking that a match can only finish with the finisher.

think sasha/charlotte had the best match of the night though that's not saying much. would've booked it differently but they did well with what they were dealt overall.

Need cliffs on how it's possible the Rollins/Owens feud could actually be a dud

havent read a post since the event started. football game was good.

can someone do me a huge favor and break the matches into the categories of:

- must see asap

- definitely check it out at some point

- if you're bored you could watch it

- dont bother

and if none of the matches fit into a category thats fine.

Rollins is now Reigns with a more annoying voice who doesn't get boo'd and has worse matches.

Owens is starting to look like the Wrestling version of Kevin Love.

And there you go.

rather than make an extremely long/detailed post that doesn't matter I'll just say part of that match made legit 0 sense, i hated the stretcher spot even more, and the ending was similar to the lesnar/ambrose ending where you're left going "oh, is that it? ok then". plus you all know how i hate the hot potato.

yet a lot of it was pretty awesome too. sasha looked like a rag doll half the time, the table breaking spot was sweet (not the weird botchy ones, the announce one), and they clearly gave it their all like they always do.

considering im finally over holding talent responsible for what amounts wwe creative failures, overall an enjoyable experience. from the list given it seems like it was a worthy main event compared to the rest

The Shield/Lesnar PPV streak is now officially over. ICYDK, since June 2014, either a member of the Shield or Brock Lesnar has main evented every PPV.

That unofficially ended last month when the triple threat title match happened first. But WWE insists on calling that match the main event any way. So officially, it ended yesterday with Sasha/Charlotte main eventing.

BTW, Meltzer apparently hated the Sasha/Charlotte match, thought Owens/Rollins was much better, and thinks that Vince will never put the women in a main event again.

Also, Meltzer says the original finish was supposed to be Sasha going over. Now Charlotte is going to move on to Bayley.

The lack of depth on Raw is glaring now. The only other women are Nia Jax and Dana. I suppose Emma should be coming back pretty soon also.

I don't think that I would put Owens/Rollins above Reigns/Rusev, let alone above Sasha/Charlotte.

Watched Sasha/Charlotte before work this morning. Stretcher stuff was stupid and went on way too long, but everything else was great. Had no problem with the ending at all.

I was really surprised when I read that Meltzer thought that. Because the consensus seems to be that Sasha/Charlotte was the best match of the night.

Personally, I didn't see Reigns/Rusev and only saw the end of Owens/Rollins. But the Sasha/Charlotte match was really good. Not Sasha's best PPV match (that would be the triple threat) or even the best Sasha/Charlotte match (their Raw title change a few weeks ago was probably better). But this match was really good, even if it's not great.

Rollins and Owens have terrible chemistry, its really strange.

I thought both matches were great. Also thought the Charlotte/Sasha finish was fine. I really enjoyed Owens/Rollins despite not caring at all about the build or outcome. Easily both guys best match in a long time and the Jericho stuff wasn't too over done. Reigns/Rusev and the rest of the PPV was boring.

That's a bit inconstant since they billed HIAC as a triple main event.

Flair ripped on the WWE for not letting Charlotte commit suicide on the Network...err, I mean do a moonsault from the top of the cage at HiaC. Amazing Flair harps on that but rips Mick for being a "glorified stuntman". The moonsault would've been amazing but even if she landed perfectly and nobody got hurt, it's still a horrific idea. Flair said it was taken out because "they were afraid Sasha would get hurt"...right.

Yeah, generally this older version of Flair seems a lot more likable than what it seems like he may have once been like, but that's goofy.

The match didn't really need something like that for the same reason it didn't need all that stuff at the beginning, been the first women's hell in a cell the match already had something to make it stand out from other matches. It already had its own uniqueness.

I'm trying to think of a way where if she did do a moonsault from on top of the cage, she doesn't at beast shatter all of her ribs. This isn't a stunt bump like Shane took where he landed on his ass and legs with an air bag under the table. Or to a lesser extent Foley landing on his back through the table. A moonsault requires you to land with your whole body exposed. And also was Sasha supposed to take that bump or was she going to move? I mean did they want to kill both of them or just Charlotte?
