Welcome to the Official Wrestling Awards of 2011 presented by the Official Wrestlemania Thread. Here's how this will work:

1.I'm going to give 15 categories to be voted on.
2.Send me a PM with your choice for the winner of each category
3.This will remain open for a week.
4.Next Monday (12/26), I will list the 3 most nominated answers (with the occasional “****, thats a great answer people may have forgotten, I'll throw that in too).
5.Everyone then sends a PM with their choice of the ones nominated.
6.On New Year's Day, I will reveal the winners of these awards and we'll all argue and bicker about why one should have won instead.


Keep in mind these are not solely for WWE. If something from another promotion fits, nominate it!

You know that one guy everyone in the thread seems to love, and you just don't have any clue whatsoever as to why? That guy who is terrible on the mic, bland in the ring, can't sell for ****, yet still gets raved about here? Well now you have your chance to make everyone know that he's actually overrated by voting him the Most Overrated Wrestler of 2011!


The Best PPV of 2011!
Sure, we kinda all know where this one is ending up at. That doesn't mean it doesn't deserve its award nor that other very solid PPV's don't deserve to get a nomination!



The BlueBoyAids.Gif Award!
This is for the one thing that was so horrendous, so awful, so ridiculous, so aids-inducing that the only way to describe it was AIDSAIDSAIDSAIDS. This award can be given out to a person, an angle, a match, a segment, a promo, basically anything that just screamed AIDS.



Mark Out Moment of 2011!
Don't be ashamed to admit that ONE time this you that you suspended all disbelief and felt like you did before you became so jaded with the business.


Best Gif Use in the Official Wrestlemania Thread!
Come on, we all know one of the best parts of watching wrestling right now is the epicness and awesomeness of the Official Wrestlemania Thread. No matter how many ridiculous bookings force us to curse at creative, or how many racist segments are put on TV, the thread is always a laugh. One main way that happens is some expert use of gifs and I want to reward the person who has used them the best this year by giving them a meaningless award!

This award is special. It's the one that goes to that time you stopped for a second and thought to yourself “If I had of told myself a year ago that Xxxxxxx would be completely awesome, my only response would have been 'Wait. Really? Really?'”. This is for something or someone you never in your wildest dreams thought could have been as awesome as they were.



The Sigh. Really? Really? Award
By contrast, this award goes to that one time you got really excited for something in wrestling this year, and at its conclusion went “Sigh. Really? Really? That's it. Why do I even bother?”. It's for the largest disappointment of the year.



The Breakout Star of 2011
Not simply the best superstar of 2011, this is for the person that had shown a lot of potential for a while and finally put it all together.

This title speaks for itself.
