Can you play on partypoker too or are the zynga players secluded?

It doesn't matter they are not segregated just another skin on Partypoker

As I dont a facebook account, im not 100% sure whats happening here. Is this correct: Facebook has play money poker run by Zynga, they've now launched real money games and it's easy for facebook players to deposit??

If so thats gonna be awesome.
04-08-2013 , 07:23 AM
sounds like you are 0% sure what is happening here. So far its just another party skin and is 100% disappointing
04-08-2013 , 07:26 PM
But I guess that means party will get alot of very bad players right?
04-09-2013 , 03:28 AM
anyone who wanted to play on party, is already playing on party. A new skin isnt going to change anything.

Surely it has to bring in some fresh deposits from zynga players who aren't aware of party tho?

Seems likely this is part of the reason party has started segregating fish from sharks in the player pool IMO.

The issue is that there's no direct link to real money play on the facebook zynga app and no real advertising anywhere else to promote it. As it stands it's just another skin, albeit a bad one, that doesn't promote itself.
04-10-2013 , 09:58 AM
So it's not being advertised on Facebook? Seems like a ******ed marketing strat.
04-10-2013 , 11:03 AM
It's very early days. The skin is available. Marketing and promotion is probably going to be rolled out at a specific time whether its to do with certain legislation or whatever who knows but at this time they've chosen to wait to push advertising.

how is the traffic? any screenshots of the lobby?

I remember reading there was supposed to be a Q1 2013 completely new party software. I suspect that is taking longer than they though and thats what the delay is

You don't open a skin and market the crap out of it from Day One without getting the kinks out first. This is their beta stage which will be followed by a gradual increase of marketing once they are fully prepared. The worst strategy possible would be to be unprepared to handle the level of volume that their marketing will attract.

Zynga is actually doing a lot of new things in the poker industry... http://pokerfacenews.com/wsop-partne...ive-in-the-uk/

Its just a skin for party poker. If you play on party you play with zynga play pool. You might get a few extra fish on party, nothing big.

For now, only players aged 18 and above are legally allowed to download the gaming client or play the web version. Later this year, however, poker players will be enjoying the games on their mobile phones or on Facebook.

As everyone's said it's just another skin of PP I haven't even bothered depositing. Perhaps it'll be worth it when they start marketing a little more

The bit about buying drinks reminds me of the old Paradise poker where you'd order drinks and have a beer beside you at the table. Anyone remember that?

Think it will be like old times, easier, or is that unlikely?

Question for those who follow Zynga/bwin/PartyPoker and the possible direction the companies are taking toward online poker in the states:

Am I wrong to think that these entities are necessarily looking to bond to a brick-and-mortar casino? More importantly, since the answer to the previous question is likely obvious, is the possibility of such a joint venture (Z/b/PP & B&M) a likelihood?

The reason I ask is because I'm looking at Zynga (znga) stock options. For example, the $5 Jan 14 calls are trading at .30 x .31. The safer $5 Jan 15 calls are at .80. Moreover, the open interest on the call side dwarfs the open interest on the put side when looking at month-by-month, especially toward the end of the year. Granted, much of the volume may be a hedge. There is always that risk.

What makes the play even more attractive is that the stock is trading about 50% below its year highs and about 80% below its 18-month highs. I understand the catalyst for the stock depreciation was likely the Facebook break-up, but Zynga looks primed for a solid move going forward. The chart looks very attractive right now: volume has been on the ask side and the stock has mostly been trading above all major moving averages over the last couple months.

Many thanks for any insight and opinions.
