Good McManus Article about Online Poker and UIGEA on Grantland

Really good article, includes Full Tilt discussion as well as how Jon Kyl is a terrible person.

"When might Americans, who invented the freakin' game in the first place, be able to play it again on the Internet?"

Damn Right.

This is not about McManus's poker credentials which he admits are limited, its about the article and apparent series of articles he will be doing on Grantland/ESPN.com which should get some good exposure for the cause of US players.

Very good article for the poker layperson - I've already sent it to several friends and family members who know I have a substantial amount of $ locked up but (fairly enough) have a difficult time understanding some of the basic underlying circumstances.

Very good article. The thing I have never understood is that I thought it was illegal for THE BANK to transfer the money, so why are none of the bankers in trouble?

Good question. It seems that FTP was able to convince a bank that had suffered severe loan forclosures to make a deal with the devil.

I wish he would go the next step, and lobby his friends with high poker profiles to get more involved in poker advocacy. Its like beating your head against a wall when people who play and watch poker have no idea there is actually a movement to change things.

I would guess it'd be more of a certainty that he finishes this series on Grantland if more people like/comment on it at Facebook.

Done. And if everyone asked the PPA to also lobby him to coordinate with them and players on this.

Hint, hint. ESPN and NYT have the precise audiences we are NOT reaching.
