I don't think it's a freeroll. If you lose your deposit, you lose your deposit (I assume, don't have time to read the pdfs right now). If you win, you don't get any of the winnings.

Net downside w/ no upside

Re: Nevada Gaming Commission Proposed Regulations for Interactive Gaming

Not exactly. If an under age or other fails verification and lost money, they will only get back the remaining balance, if any. Not what they lost. If they win, the site keeps the winnings and returns the original deposit. Don't see any upside to play if you can't verify.

Re: Nevada Gaming Commission Proposed Regulations for Interactive Gaming

Interesting looks like you will be able to change your SN.

84. Interactive gaming account deposits received via mail are documented on a listing indicating the following:
Authorized player’s name on account to which the deposit is being applied and the name of individual making the deposit (if made by other than the authorized player)
really?

Quote:
88. For withdrawals, a transfer of funds from an authorized player’s interactive gaming account to an account
with a financial institution is to be made to an account in the name of the authorized player
so they're going to allow people to make deposits to other people's accounts, but only payout to the person listed on the account. This would seem to allow staking (and fraudulent deposits?)

France has a good rule on this issue - any money confiscated from players for rules violations must be redistributed to other players.

The bit you quoted does not say that you must be allowed to change your screenname.

Re: Nevada Gaming Commission Proposed Regulations for Interactive Gaming

I know this was discussed earlier ITT, however, does anyone know what games are on the board's website?:

5A.140 Acceptance of Wagers.
1. Operators shall not accept or facilitate a wager:
(a) On any game other than the game of poker and its derivatives as approved by the chairman and published on the board’s website;

Also there was talk of badugi being a game that could be excluded from this, however, doesn't Aria have mix games that have badugi as part of the mix, meaning they would want to include this game if they were to get a license?

Also, according to the cardplayer article, "Nevada online poker will likely begin as intrastate — where both residents and tourists can engage in play." So this means even though i live in CA i will be able to play from home?

No. That means that if you drive to Nevada you can play from your car or hotel room.

I'm not sure how credible or the specific source, sorry. Take it for what it's worth.
