Ipoker software crashes

Hi,

I am experiencing constant ipoker software crashes. I have tried all usually suggested measures to solve the issue but nothing works. Crashes occur only when I am at the table and tournament lobby is opened. They started after recent Playtech update.

I have googled for similar issues but find only some complaints. Therefore I am wondering if I am nearly the only one with such issue. I have even tried to experiment with different PC on different ipoker rooms but all the same with some difference in frequency.

If somebody else has faced similar problem I will very appreciate if you share your experience.

Thanks!

Re: Ipoker software crashes

This has been happening to me since the recent software update (lobby upgrade). Small window pops up telling me that Playtech software is being shutdown. While on Titan I was having 'DEP' pop up, saying 'data executioin prevention'.. site is shutting down.
Sometimes it was happening up to amost 10x during a single tournament.

I wrote to support many, many times before finally they ADMITTED to there being a problem (but before this it was the usual generic answer b.s.). After many replies that were either denial or just plain ignorance on their end, I attached a bunch of screenshots each time the software shutdown on me. They finally acknowledged the problem, along with admitting they'd known about it prior. (ffs... why not just tell me the first time I write in?)
They suggested to uninstall > re-install the software (Titan).... & this actually seemed to have an effect.. but only for a day or so then it was back to f'n up on me in a big way.

Have again written to support many times. Their response > we're informing you that this has been sent to the relevant dept. & they are working on it in hopes of getting it resolved asap & will inform you when it is fixed.

I've heard nothing back since then (over a week ago now) & obviously the site is still f'ng up.

It's happening on all of the iPoker sites that I play on (except for ChiliPoker which hasn't done the lobby update/upgrade on my computer yet).

I'm surprised there isn't more written about it on the poker forums (although there are ongoing threads on a couple others).

Re: Ipoker software crashes

I had it 'shutdown' 9x in one tournament & ~4x while on the bubble.

I've pretty much stopped playing on iPoker sites (Titan & WillHill) - - only playing in a couple of regional, private & VIP tourneys.

I've responses from WillHill Customer Support Mgr. 'Prince Boeck' who gave me this response:

My name is Prince Boeck and I am the Customer Support Manager of William Hill
Poker.

I am writing to you in response to the recent issue you had raised concerning
the Poker client crashing frequently and the error messages you had been
receiving. As I understand you have also encountered issues when running other
iPoker skins therefore pointing to an issue in the poker client itself.

Firstly, I would like to extend my deepest apologies for the inconvenience on
your part caused by these errors and am fully confident that we can resolve
these issues.

Personally, I have been running the William Hill Poker client on a daily basis
on my Windows 7 (32-bit) laptop without any issues or crashes. Additionally,
all workstations used by the William Hill Poker Support staff are Windows XP
SP2/3 Desktop PCs equipped with sufficient hardware specifications to support
the poker client (particularly the newly released version of the client).

The reason I am indicating the above is that I suspect the cause of the
malfunction to lie in the new client's hardware-compatibility with a certain
computer architecture (64-bit systems).

He then requested specs. of my computer & operating system & sure enough I'm running on WinVista (64-bit).

What are you guys using?
For sure write in to support & don't give up til' you get a decent response. This is b.s. that no fix has come about with it yet. It's been over a month now

Me too.

Registered for a tournament and the client crashed twice within 5 minutes while waiting for the tournament to start.

Unregistered and will have to wait until this issue is fixed before playing on ipoker again. It's just not playable like this.

I'm going to forward this link to support.
Maybe send an email to support letting them know that you are using WinVista (64-bit) as they're thinking that this is what the issue is (or which players are having a problem).
If you're on WilliamHill, address your email to 'Prince Boeck Customer Support Manager'. He's the guy who's been telling me that he 'thinks' the shutdown problem is likely only happening to players using WinVista 64-bit

Re: Ipoker software crashes

I have exactly the same issue with Betfred's client and running 32-bit Win 7. It crashes even if you just open Tournament lobby even w/o playing.

Re: Ipoker software crashes

I'm rarely playing on any of the iPoker sites lately (have accounts on Titan, WIllHill, Poker770 & bet365) but thought I'd give it a go yesterday. ~15mins. in the software 'shutdown' on me so I unreg. from the rest of the tourneys I'd reg'd. for.

I'm getting different responses from each of the sites.... Titan being pretty much terrible (2mos. later & some of them still insisting it's an internet connection problem on my mind, blah blah blah, etc.). How were they rated #1 for Customer Support by anyone? (online gambling mag.,... never heard of it, lol).

WilliamHill I've had the Support Manager (Prince Boeck) reply to me emails. He's at least apologetic about it (admits there's a problem for some customers) & responds with an update occassionally.
Last responses was this:

Subject: RE: Your William Hill Poker account
Dear Colin,

I am sorry for the late reply regarding the technical issues with the software you have been experiencing.

I can also see the you have not been actively playing since the 4th of March presumably because of the lingering issues on your side.

Unfortunately, no new advice has been sent our way in regard to this issue and we are frequently chasing the matter up for any possible workaround or solution.

One interesting to note is that we had recently seen a similar technical issue among William Hill Poker Support staff which was resolved by switching to the "Classic" poker lobby view.

Again, any advice we receive will be relayed to you at our soonest chance.

Best Regards,

Prince Boeck
William Hill Poker Support Manager

Re: Ipoker software crashes

While on Titan the other day I had a window pop up reading > "We're Upgrading! TitanPoker will be offline between 07:30 to 08:30am (GMT) on the 20th of March while we implement essential upgrades to our software."

I tried playing a couple tournaments on Titan yesterday, was on there for ~3.5hrs. & the software never shutdown on me!!! (I've never been able to be on there for 1/2 hr. in the past couple mos. w/o it shutting down on me). Maybe it's finally fixed???

Anyone else still experiencing the 'shutdown' thing?
Also wondering what's happening on the other iPoker sites?

Hero checks, BTN bets $85.87, Hero folds

    Spoiler:

Get the Flash Player to use the Hold'em Manager Replayer.

Everything was fine till the river, i was waiting for the villian to call the turn already knowing im shoving any river. he calls and before i even have the chance to do anything the software insta checks for me im really confused at this point i look at the auto fold to any bet box its unchecked, the villian shoves the river and again the software snap folds??? im like WTF quit all my tables and contact support and they say will pass it on to the relevant depatment who will look into it..

Has anyone had anything like this happen to them on Ipoker or any other network for that matter, i have never seen anything like this happen in my life and it has to be a glitch in the software or something surely?

    Re: Ipoker software Glitch???

well takes them 3 days to get back to me and there response is a joke

Many thanks for contacting Boylesports Customer Services.

iPoker have responded to us to say that during hand 3217274161 the reason you checked was because you clicked on the check button and then you folded as you ticked the "fold to any bet" button.

If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind regards,

    David
    Customer Support Team

so go ahead and play on the ipoker network if you dont mind there software glitches from time to time losing your money
