Re: Questions about DraftDay

So I am assuming if your contest starts on Thursday there is no way to take out a player who is ruled inactive for sunday?

Just wanted to say that this site is incredibly well-designed and operated. Nice job, hope it takes off for you.

Seems like you've got something in place...?

Re: Questions about DraftDay

As a lawyer, I'm also very curious about the legality of the rash of daily fantasy sports sites I've seen cropping up. I'd like to know what your (surely more-informed take) is.

I'm aware that the UIGEA contains an explicit carve-out for fantasy sports. HOWEVER, I'm curious about whether that applies only to fantasy sports leagues amongst friends (where the entire prize pool is distributed among the participants), OR whether the interpretation might NOT extend to fantasy sports leagues where there's a "house" that takes a cut, as is the case with your site and others.

You must have looked into this question, and just curious what you found.

We'll be launching a public affiliate program soon. We have an on-going list of people who have asked for more information when it becomes available. If you'd like, you can email support@draftday.com and we can make sure you are included on the email when it is ready.

Thanks.

Due to the simplicity of getting money off/on the site with PayPal or Credit Card, we felt that the complications that can arise from P2P transfers was not worth it.

We actually helped facilitate this for a group of people at PocketFives Off Topic forum. They played it out over Weeks 13-15. They did an 8-man single elimination HU challenge and built a separate prizepool for the tourney winner.
