Did DraftDay lose to Fanduel and Draftkings? Did DraftDay lose to Fanduel and Draftkings?

I'm hearing a lot about DFS these days but one name I never hear mentioned is DraftDay. Is there significant volume on the site or did they lose the war to Fanduel and Draftkings? If so, why? What went wrong?

FD and DK are the only sites out there with material volume. So from that standpoint all of the other sites have "lost". Why is a bit complex. DK is private equity backed and they are basically rolling up the market and investing a ton in marketing. The two sites with scale are basically bracing for a big company like yahoo to enter the DFS market. It'll make for a fascinating HBR case someday.

DD just couldn't raise the seed $ that the 2 big sites could. It is still around and offers some good games but just is more of a niche site.

If it closed after NFL season, it wouldn't surprise me. Similar to how DraftStreet and StarStreet did this past summer.

They need to not be MIA on these forums and have a VIP program imo. When I say VIP program I don't mean large field freeroll entries worth .003% rakeback in a sport I know nothing about. I do like the site and their formats I just don't see much reason to stick around after the deposit bonus clears. Get it together DD before you drown.
