Re: What to take to the tables...
Thanks again for all the ideas. I added wet wipes, and I looked at band-aids too. (Before reading it here.) I decided that they might be too much.
Got vitamins with iron too. (I am cursed with iron poor blood)
I bought "Oatmeal to go" bars instead of granola because they are about uncrushable.
So let's see...
QC3 headphones.
iPod
phone
sanitizer
3 packs of gum (gotta share)
2 tins of Altoids
bunch-o-5 hour energies
deodorant
various casino comp cards
cash
I might just slip in a band aid or two for luck...
I hope this list ends up helping others too so keep on with the suggestions and THANKS!!!

Re: What to take to the tables...
I take to the cardroom things that I pretty much take everywhere:
On my person: - Smartphone w/music
- Earbuds
- Eyeglasses, including reading and sunglasses
- Fisherman's Friends (Best. Cough drops. Evar.)
- Notebook
- Pen
- Point-and-shoot camera (not that I use it in the cardroom; I just take it everywhere because you never know, and phonecams suck.)
- Glucometer, test strips, & lancets
- Prescription drugs
- OTC drugs, including Tylenol and Sudophed
- Cash (*)
- ID & credit cards
- Keys
- Swiss Army knife
I also carry, when I play cards, a polished stone that I use as a card protector at the table.
In my backpack: - Jelly beans for quick sugar infusion, if needed
- Almonds and granola bars to smooth out the sugar spike from the jelly beans
- Water bottle
- Basic toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, soap, razor, hairbrush)
- A book or two to read
(*) I normally play at a cardroom close to home, where I maintain a player's bank account, so I don't need worry about carrying large quantities of ammunition. When I play elsewhere (e.g. trips to Las Vegas) I generally have to keep my ammo with me in some discrete place.

+1 on the granola bars. Larabars are a favorite of mine. They're delicious and healthy (most varieties have four or less ingredients).
I like to have some chewing gum w/me as well.

You should see the scar he has on one hand from cutting himself opening one of the headache medicine bottles. No, I'm not kidding....bled all over the damn place. Ever since then, Band-Aids in the bag.
Notebook for taking notes unless you're doing it on your smart phone.

Re: What to take to the tables...
Whats wrong with you people? The only thing I consciously bring to the table is cash. If I'm not up by the time I start needing any of that other **** then it's time to leave anyway.

So you're prepping a list of items to go play a game where paying attention to opponents for exploitable situations is a premium skill, and the first three items on your list are items of distraction
Do yourself a favor. Leave the ipod and fancy noise-cancelling headphones home.

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally would make a lot less money if I didn't have a distraction available to me at the table.

WTF? As I said in my post, the only thing I carry to the cardroom that I don't carry everywhere is a card protector.

If it helps you focus on the game flow it's probably adding to your winrate. Listening to convos at the table isn't necessarily good for your mental state while playing.
