Re: Treasure Island - Vegas

Guess I misunderstood then. I agree I probably wouldn't want to move down to 3/6 to get the promo. If I was in Vegas I might try to move the game there though! I play in AC.

Re: Treasure Island - Vegas

All limit hold em above 3/6 is eligible for the promotion, and I'm sure they'd spread 10/20 if they could get close to a full game going. Is that correct, Troy?

MSUSpartan,

I think I figured outr why it was so hard to get a limit game. The limit players would walk into the room and ask for a $2-$4 game. We would tell them we didn't have one going put we would start a list. They would then leave. Even if one or two stayed ..... limit players simply won't start the game short. No limit players you get three of them to sit down a fourth comes get cards in the air five minutes later the game is filled...... put the limit players simply wouldn't stay in the casino unless they saw 8 names on the interest list. (obviously if the room had a history of gettiung the game they might stick around)
Same thing happens here on the East Coast. Starting a game can be such a BEAR! Even when the players know that the game will fill up soon after starting, starting short is simply one thing that a lot of players refuse to do! Sad, really.

If anyone wants to get a 3/6 game going tomorrow, let me know what time is good. Myself and some friends will play.

There we go Vig. Exactly what you should be doing here. Kudos.

Troy it might be good to do a game report every hour or so here while your working. Games spread + tables yada. Maybe tell some of your floor about this forum and get them in on the reports while your not there?

At least during this promo anyway. I think it would help a bit. Just a suggestion.

EXAMPLE:

Live game report Mon. 1/09/12 8:00pm

[3] 3/6 LHE
[2] 1/3 NL
[1] 1/3 PLO
[1] 4/8 PLO8

** I know you probably didn't need an example but I'm anal like that [ don't ask me for directions lol]

Re: Treasure Island - Vegas

It'd be a pretty boring report. Every day thus far we have had between 2 and 5 No limit games. Last friday for a few hours we had a 2-5 game going. If and when we start to spread other games, I will certainly keep folks updated. Also, "like" us on facebook (TI Poker Room) and follow us on twitter @TIpokerLV and you can stay updated on there as well.

The twitter had been pretty dead in the past. People stop reading if there's nothing there to read.

I try not to flood people with a bunch of crap and non stop advertising. I will tweet when we get different games going, like on Friday when the 2-5 was up and full, etc... I will try and use it more often if that's preferred.

No...not boring. Even if you have just two tables of 1/1 and a knock rummy game between sitting dealers, these cats like to see it and see that a room rep is mingling. Idk why. I think it would be well worth the 60 seconds to post every hour or so.

Any haters or teasers poking fun at your room will be dealt with 2p2 style. No worries.

Re: Treasure Island - Vegas

Cool, I will do my best to update here more often. On that note, tonight is a bit slower, 2 full NL games with a short list. A $3-$6 mix game is scheduled to start in 15 mins. Always be sure to call ahead to get your name on the list. We keep you up there for up to 30 mins, so don't call and then show up an hour later. You'll be upset when your name has disappeared.

EXAMPLE:

Live game report -Tue. 1/10/12 12:15am

[2] 1/3NL

**3/6 LHE table starting @ 12:30am

^^ like that ;-)

Then next update (say 2:30 ish) will look like this:

Live game report- Tues. 1/10/12 2:30am :

[2] 1/3NL
[1] 3/6LHE

And so on.

..I know its bare, but your doing your part. That goes a long way with people imo. Plus, your a small room anyway, even when your full it's not gonna look full if some one is used to a 30+ table room. No big deal.

Your a nice, clean, comfy/cozy room. Build it and they will come. Im telling you, when I get out there, I will be making your room a regular stop on rounds.

I see no reason for a nice room like yours not to have 3-4 1/3s, 1 2/5, 1 or 2 3/6LHE, and maybe a higher mixed game or something consistantly. Then again Im not there so. But you have a nice room and would expect it to grow in the near future. 2p2ers will help, you'll see ;-).

Played the $3-$6 mix last night and it was a blast. We started the game only 3 handed but it quickly grew into a full table. I'm sure I'll probably leave something out, but I believe the mix was:

Razz
Stud 8/b
3-2-1 Omaha
4 Card Hold'em
2-7 Triple Draw
Double Flop Crazy Pineapple

I am always impressed with how every dealer knows how to deal all the games.
