Some people play well when roaring drunk. Others have the Foster Brooks act down cold.

Yeah, but they're very rare and even Gavin Smith has laid off the sauce. I was specifically referring to people who are more focused on drinking than playing. Whether it's their first drink, or they're fall-down drunk. Someone just out for a drink who happens to be playing poker instead of pool, darts or watching a game is very likely to be a recreational donkey.

A player who is easily distracted or distracted in general in going to be very good... for the game (edit: unless they slow down a game that's already good). The interaction with the cocktail waitress is just a specific "tell" for their attentiveness and how serious they are about poker.

PS I prefer Dudley Moore in the original Arthur.

I'm calling or raising every time. got it? In live play this is a ridiculous fold that has negative implications unless your trying to portray a super tight nit image.

Where sunglasses and misread your own hand because you can't see the board.

I probably have more time logged online, but that's pretty irrelevant when your playing a different game. Also, some casinos have been nice enough to do away with the SB and force 2 BB to speed up the game... that's how ridiculous and insignificant it is that your talking about.

Nah i'm pretty sure you just have a giant list of things you don't like that don't consistently say anything about the player involved

Re: Things horrible players do

horrible players play with the strategy of squeezing as much poker out of their BI as possible, and therefore play uber passive. Actually makes sense in a twisted way, if they are a losing player, at least in their minds, although this is part of the reason they are losing players? they want to lose as slowly as possible.
They turn the fundemental theorum of poker upside down, and call with much worse hands than they would raise with, which again makes no sense, but i figure that they want to put as few chips in the pot as possible, so they can continue to get their gambling fix, and see flops for as long as possible before going bust, and a way to do this is to call when they raise (what choice do i have now?), and to 'limp, when they let us, with our entire range.'

then you havent played in a good game with a line up of drooling drunkards thats collectively spent 2 minutes on poker away from the table.
it's all relative, but i hear ya, good one.

If blinds are 2/3 maybe, if 1/3 still dont follow "always" calling.

I feel like limping any two OTB would be more profitable than completing any two from the SB.

they post on 2+2 and can't differentiate between using the words "where & wear" "to& too," "there, they're,&their," just because their spell check doesn't show these words spelled incorrectly...

I still dont understand. If you are on the SB, and get dealt 72o while playing 1/3 or 2/5, you are always calling or raising?
