Southern California - Just moved here. What are my options? Southern California - Just moved here. What are my options?

Hey y'all. So, I was a reg 2/5 player over at Talking Sticks in Arizona, you could find me grinding it out over there about 30 hours a week, but I've just moved out here, into a new place with my girlfriend, we wanted something new.

Now, I live fairly close to two casinos that I know of: San Manuel and Casino Morongo. Does anyone know anything about these places? What are my other nearby options? I don't want to drive for an hour to play some poker, so if these two are all I've got, which should I be playing in?

Don't know anything about those two places but just drive to Commerce... Action tables and jackpot dealers

Morongo is pretty soft on the weekends but pretty nitty during the week. I've played at both and think talking stick is a harder game. 2/5 doesn't always run and when it does it will start late from my experience.

Talking Sticks wasn't so bad for me, a lot of people took me for the typical kid who thinks he knows how to play and they loosened up for awhile to outplay me, that was kinda nice. Had one older guy straight up tell me that's what he was gonna do, I was so hurt.

Kinda makes having a baby face not a bad thing sometimes.

I've head that the Commerce has stupid low caps on buyins, though. Is that true?

try Lake Elsinore's poker room

I used to live in LA and grind the low/med stakes out there. Commerce, Bike, Hawaiian Gardens and Hustler are your best bet in the LA area. iirc they all have fixed buy ins (maybe Hustler has a range) at the low stakes which I found created a ton of action. $200 fixed buy in for a $3/5 game? wtf? But it's my favorite game because the money flies and most don't have a clue how to work a short stack.

Lake Elsinore is my favorite. Small room, but usually a lot of action. Low limit is 2/3, $300 max buy-in. Usually a couple tables of that running. Staff is friendly and food is OK.
