One Guy just began punching random people in the face. Another guy threw his chair across the room. One Guy sprinted to the bar, jumped over the counter and chugged a bottle of vodka. Re: Strangest hand directly witnessed?

I thought it was a witty post that works on multiple levels, so I was giving a +1. I thought that was cool around here?

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

[All of the over-the-top fake-story posts have been moved from the strangest hand thread to here.]

If you want to discuss why they're a waste of space over there, have at it.

The awesome irony of the initial crazy-hand post is lost on my simple mind. I'd prefer that thread not turn into the "craziest **** you can make up" thread.

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

I agree it was probably best moved. I saw you had given a "-1" to it, so I was merely trying for a "+1".

Personally, I was roped in. I was all, "damnit, this is the exact kind of standard stuff we see every day... and people were worked up over it? Sheesh... oooohhhhh."

So I took it as an amusing "try harder" kind of post. Plus, it made me laugh. +1

But probably best removed.

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

I'm just fine with a little topic-drift. As such, I had intended to leave the post alone - but it generated too much follow-up.

There's other forums here for making up stories.

so please, pro rapini and con, send me your pms. and point others to this thread if you think they would like to participate.
I urge you guys to take Mat seriously here. Stop the madness.

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

I think that could stand to be its own thread. People who don't have a problem with P:M&B moderation likely won't read this.

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

More importantly, it has little to nothing to do with actual moderation in this forum.

It's an ATF topic, and I'd prefer it stay in PMs or posts there - whichever Mat prefers, so here's a link to the thread in question:

Re: Friend has part of my live cash action question.

hes got 10% of your action in a 1/2 game?.. so what is that like 20 bucks? why even bother.. your hella dumb dude

[The post here was moved out of the 10% staking deal at 1/2 thread. There's two posts above it that say "why bother, lol" - but for those of you looking for the line, this post crosses it. Leaving this public for discussion -- hey, he posted it -- and leaving it here for Ray to issue one of our few official warnings. If you'd like to discuss the finer points of mocking posters without being a jerk, please feel free to comment.]

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

How does the moderation of P:M&B vary from the new, updated B&M moderation guidelines?

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

B&M still has (I assume) a much lower threshold for what it'll allow. Presumably Rapini will continue to delete what he deems low-content or off-topic... ....and we've got distinctly different standards to judge that.

Re: Moderation Discussion Thread

...as a follow-up, I'm honestly not sure what the changes in B&M mean for this experiment. I'm sure we'll all find out together.
