I fit 6 of the above 10. And I suck for the game. I make very few mistakes
03-20-2013 , 04:05 AM
OP's who think they're original/funny
03-20-2013 , 04:06 AM
People who do number 10 are usually fish
03-20-2013 , 04:16 AM
1.) people who are better than me

that's all I can think of at the moment. is number 6 a commonly held opinion? if you want to play higher why not join a different game?
03-20-2013 , 04:17 AM
agree except for #3. i usually carry a backpack everywhere just because i don't like having a ton of stuff in my pockets. don't see how a backpack makes a game suck either

to pay lower rake and fish like games with straddles.

like one time i was playing a shorthanded PLO game with a bringin (we were all very deep too) and because agreed to straddle we were paying half rake of the stake we could've bumped it to.

What the hell is in those backpacks? food?

If you really feel the need to list and rank 10 types of people that annoy you at the poker table you really should find something else to do with your time.

Stress is real.

Stress is a biochemical phenomenon with a real pathology leading to real, lasting negative consequences to your health. Stress is not just the benign opposite of happy. So whatever money you make (or think you make) above and beyond what a normal job would yield it's not worth the added stress that you experience OP. Poker is not for everyone nor is it for everyone that can win. You should just walk away from it.

interesting topic, but the worst op ever. imagine that. someone might bring food to an 8 hour session so that there aren't 4 walkers heading to dinner. oh sorry, i get it now. i should grow a bad sense of humor.
03-20-2013 , 04:54 AM
wtf I do 9/10.

Why does what I do in the comfort of my own home annoy you over the net so much?

pls respond.

usually this happens to me in NLHE but the example was in PLO. so anyway it was 1/2 $5 bring-in. i think rake at 1/2 is capped at $4 + drop. then they halved the rake cause we were shorthanded so 2$. 2/5 rake is higher dunno what it is don't get a chance to play much live plo at this casino. so we made the game 1/2/5 $10 bringin so we got to play 2/5 plo with $2 rake cap and like 1k average stacks.

another mandatory straddle game i played in was an uncapped 2/5 nlhe. 2/5 rake is 10% capped at 15$. 5/10 rake is capped at 25. avg stack was like ~2.3k. so mandatory straddles were instituted. if you refused to straddle you were basically kicked out of the game.

i also bring a backpack with me pretty often. like when i get to the casino sometimes i'll just wanna go straight to table and not drop my **** off in my room (it's a long drive/bus ride!). why's it a big deal to have it hanging off the back of my chair? i also keep cash sometimes in hidden pockets in the bag if i don't want to walk around with a roll in my wallet or something.

live poker is boring as ****. if i couldnt screw with my phone at the table i wouldn't play it. though i exploit the **** out of people watching a movie at the table.

op leads the top ten for me, complaining when people do not play serious enough is like the dumbest and most annoying thing to do.

I kind of agree that old people suck. Also blacks, Jews, gays, and any one else who isn't like me.

And rake reduction requests are horrible for the game. Imagine keeping more of the player's money on the table. What good can come of that?

OP is awesome.

Do many casinos have different rake caps for the different games? Where I play, it's 10% up to $5 max; that's the same for 2/4 limit, 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 and 5/10 NL.

Since our NL games have different buy in caps, having a mandatory straddle would be like ensuring everyone is short stacked. For example a 2/5nl with mandatory straddle would be like playing 5/10, but with the 2/5 $1000 max buy in instead of the 5/10 $5000 max buy in.

As I think about it, I'd add people who try to get a mandatory straddle going to the list of people who make the game suck. People sign up for the limit they want to play. Why should a player or two try and pressure everyone to change it for them?

9 is the only thing that is UNFORGIVEABLE. I'd like to add people who blast off terrible farts for hours without using the bathroom.
03-20-2013 , 06:50 AM
the hell?
So you must get pissed off when somebody sneezes too loud too..

what the hell do you care whether somebody brings a homemade smoothie to the table?
I would hate to know you in real life, you must constantly get annoyed at people for doing the most insignificant trivial things..
get your head out of your own ass op
03-20-2013 , 06:52 AM
People who make a list of "10 things" and then can't even think of 10 things and make numbers 1+5 and numbers 7+8 the same things
03-20-2013 , 07:10 AM
People that complain about others
03-20-2013 , 07:11 AM
I never even heard of asking for rake reduction. Does that work?

Nailed it.

Especially re: backpacks.... who cares? I don't have one myself, but what difference does it make to you? Do you really want him using his Bible/butt plug/spare colostomy bag/diabetes meds as a card protector?

People have weird **** going on. If they keep it in the backpack, I appreciate it.
