O.K. that explains it. How are the new digs?

I think it's a pretty nice room except they should've gotten better chairs. They are working on getting better lighting. A senior floor person told me that it shouldn't be too much longer before the too dark/too light spots are fixed.

NOW, we have to see if the AC (which is much better than it was) is up to the summer heat.

The Venetian has an ATM machine just next to the poker room, actually it has 3 next to it..

Well, there are obv more ATM's inside poker rooms than I'd thought. NEAR poker rooms is where I'd put them but apparently that's not the universal wisdom.

I see the answer above. Is this something new in the last three years? I always had to go to the one toward surface parking after busting out. Has it been there the whole time??

Very standard to have them here in Europe, I rely on them rather than bringing large amounts of cash to the casino.

Derby Lane Poker Room in St. Pete, FL has an ATM smack dab in the middle of the poker room and people get cash all the time especially on Friday/Sat night ($3 fee - me2)

I didnt read the responses but, YES, plenty. THe Venetian has a few right up front. Luxor had one until they moved and FW has one as well.

Both Foxwoods and Mohegan have ATMs right next to the cage in the poker rooms. Foxwoods's tournament area also has multiple ATMs right there.

I suppose that 'The Walk of Shame' is a thing of the past. I do know that when a player says 'I'll be right back' after buying in for the 4th time in my game somebody says something even if it's not until he leaves.

it's by the bank of payphones. it's been there as long as I can remember. it's just that it's kind of hidden away in the corner, and it's a big poker room, so a lot of people don't realize it's there.

At first I thought this thread was about bad players. I call them ATM in my mind because they keep pulling money out.

Yeah, it is in a very weird location. I see it because I pass it on my way to the restroom from my table, but anyone playing in the front of the room would never have any reason to go back there. In fact, I think the ATM outside the racebook is actually closer for many of the tables in the room.
