overall the food was pretty good id say 7.5 out of 10. they have a 29$ lobster meal on mondays which includes a lobster app, a 1 lb lobster prepared 4 different ways and a dessert. my bill after 2 entrees 4 glasses of wine, and 3 sides [Plus the popovers, cookies, and cotton candy? For one person? Wow...]was $150 but i used points so it didnt bother me too much. i dont think id return if i wasnt using points, or at least wouldnt drink any booze there. seemed excessive considering i was drinking ketel one on the rocks at high rollers afterwards for $11 a glass.

IMO, DB Prime is an excellent restaurant, with a very ambitious and creative menu, but occasionally erratic on execution. I always order steaks medium-rare, and have twice had to send back a steak there because it was served beyond medium. A shame, really, for such a beautiful piece of meat (I hope someone in the kitchen ate it), but at the prices and at their aspiration level, there's no reason to accept a dish there if it isn't right. Still a fine restaurant, though, and I keep going back.
Regarding the prices, they are high (and I do agree with you on the by-the-glass wine selection), but they're no higher than those at equivalent restaurants in NYC or Boston. I actually think that using points for meals at Prime (and Craftsteak!) is one of the better uses available for them.
