Ever Been Cheated in a Poker Game? Ever Been Cheated in a Poker Game?

If so, what happened and how was it resolved?

(This can be either live or online games.)

One of our players caught another player slipping chips into his tournament stack. Presumably they came from another player at another table, we never were able to figure that out. This customer was 86d as soon as we verified what the original complaintant said.

Another player just reached over and grabbed another player's big chips during a break when the dealer wasn't looking, just slipped them in his stack. Again, we did a quick verification and then 86d the guy.

Both times it was customer complaints that brought the issues to our attention, although honestly each of those customers were already on my radar for just being huge dbag tools.

Yes.

Seven card stud. The guy had a card on his lap that he apparently snuck off the game (at what exact point he did this, I have no idea) and then he mixed it in with his hole cards/ replaced a card, and came up with Kings full. It was spotted, he was removed from the room with a life time ban. I took the pot down with two Queens.

...Dumbass.

Yes

Mostly by colluding players and it was sometimes so blatant that it was easy to prove and stop and other times just highly suspicious , but not as easy to prove, but I am sure it happened.

I think collusion is the most common form of cheating.

Nice. I hope he got to see your two queens.

Pretty sure I got hit by a mechanic one time at a home game, and I've had pots get freestyle raked at underground games, but never anything more than your usual reg collusion at a public cardroom. At least not as far as I know. But then again, what do I know?

I did get dealt what looked like a nicked card at Foxwoods years ago, an ace of course. The dealer probably felt it on the pitch, and he pulled it out of play just as it landed in front of me. Cards get damaged, but this one had a weird slice in it, near a corner and just inside the edge so that it didn't separate the two sides of the slice all the way. It was visible if you knew to look, but not totally obvious. No other damage to the card, just the unnatural little slice. It looked like it was done with something small and very sharp, like a razor blade.

When I was about 15, me and a friend were playing HU for £5, I saw him deal from the bottom of the deck, and gave me AA, I open folded, and he gave me this wierd look, and I said "I prefer to play cards that were dealt from the top of the deck", he didn't say anything and I won that £5 and rubbed on titties

Spoiler:
all true except for rub on titties

One time I was invited to a raked "home game" for small stakes. Played for a couple of hours, didn't concentrate because I was card dead. The game broke and we all left. As I was walking to my car I noticed 3 of the players standing togeather at the end of street what looks like splitting profits. Strange because when they were at the tables they didn't talk to each other and acted like they were strangers to each other.

Well, it could've been worse. I mean, at least you were card dead.

Yes, by the guy in my chair making horrible decisions when he should have been sleeping.
