Re: Comprehensive Greektown tomfoolery thread

Yeah, it's this constant tension. Be quiet and stay on good terms and accept that hands take 4 or 5 minutes to straighten out because the wrong person got shipped the wrong amount of money? Or speak up and irritate the dealer but get the right amount? (That usually takes 4 or 5 minutes too, because now the dealer's flustered and making more mistakes.)

There is a way to be assertive yet polite. I'm still working to internalize that habit.

I get along really well with the good dealers. I respect what they're doing and stay out of their way as they do their job. They respect the players and stay out of our way as we play. We respect each other, we banter, we have fun, it's great.

Lol.... I can always tell what table is the O8 table when I walk into GT just buy the amount of banter going on. Imo, its usually the loudest table there.

Re: Comprehensive Greektown tomfoolery thread

Speaking of good dealers... Who was the guy thatwould do cheap parlor tricks with his cards? I remember when they had thier points-to-freeroll promotion a couple years ago, I went a couple times and there was this kid who sat down to deal at our table which had just opened up. While waiting for the rest to show up/buy-in or whatever he did some simple but well presented slight of hand, is this your card and other related tricks. I think he made a good $25 bucks in those few short minutes. A swell guy really.

That's the dealer I want at my table, the guy who can cheat.

Re: Comprehensive Greektown tomfoolery thread

So I played in the Limit O8 game yesterday. We had a guy there ( we will just call him Dustin Hoffman) who played slower than I have ever seen anyone play. It sucked!!!! I found myself getting tilted every hand because I would have to wait for this guy. I am pretty sure he does it on purpose. It was to the point where I dont think I will sit down in that game anymore if he is playing. Sucks too cuz I like playing O8 alot.

Re: Comprehensive Greektown tomfoolery thread

There was a detriot cop that I once played with at MGM that would litteraly take a minute every time it was turn. All he would do is run his mouth, talk **** and force someone to call time on him. Of course he was in every hand. I wonder if it was the same.
