Re: Best needle you've ever heard? Live, TV, or online.

This hand happened in a 2/5 NL game, Villain and I are about 900 deep, I open AKo for $20 in MP, Villain 3bets to $60 from the SB, I 4bet to $150, Villain thinks for a second and makes it $350, I sigh out loud and say "wish I had a hand" as I muck.. to which he replies "so do I".

Uh, I'm gonna disagree here. 100bb deep I'd say 4bet/folding is mostly going to be awful. But close to 200bb deep is different. Putting in $150 does not mean we has to put in another $750.

i like the fold tbh and lying about looking @ your cards is not an angle shot or even unethical (from an ethics of poker perspective, it may be unethical from a 'being a human' perspective)

Re: Best needle you've ever heard? Live, TV, or online.

1/2nl live, some lady in her 40s opens for $12 utg+2 1st in the pot and all fold except 1 guy who flats.. im in the SB with AKs and i ask her how much she has. SHe says"i have 55 left and a good hand"

I decide to put in $40 total(so thats $28 more leaving her with 27 bucks) I did this because i figured ok she'll prob jam other guy who flat called will fold and we just get it in. I also had he intention on folding if the original flatter reshoved over the top. ANyway, she decided to flat call. thats right she put in $40 pre and left 27 behind.. other guy folded.

Before flop even came out my intention was to obv just put her allin and the flop came AK5 and i just threw in the chips quick figuring shes gonna call me so no need to take time. So she thinks about it forever and says" i have a good hand i dont think i can fold im in for so much" blabla and calls and flips over QQ. River is a queen and she gets happy, i dont get mad or anything, and i casually say" how come you didnt just put it in preflop?" SHes like"well if i didnt like the flop i was planning on getting away" "OHHHHHHHH REALLLLLY?lmao

It was a good needle, generated a lot of laughs at the table, and the guy I said it to gave me props, usually needling in general is not very classy, but fun right?

Phil is a pantomime bad guy but Tony is just a jackass, have to lol when he says its just a game but continues to berate phil as he is leaving.
